When Baruch son of Neriah wrote on a scroll the words Jeremiah the prophet dictated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, Jeremiah said this to Baruch:

Jeremiah talked to Baruch, the son of Neriah. It was in the fourth year that Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, was king of Judah. It was when Baruch had written down on a scroll the words Jeremiah the prophet told him to write. Jeremiah had said,

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the dictation of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

The prophet Jeremiah gave a message to Baruch son of Neriah in the fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, after Baruch had written down everything Jeremiah had dictated to him. He said,

This is the word that the prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch son of Neriah when he wrote these words on a scroll at Jeremiah’s dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah:

The prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch son of Neriah while he was writing down in a scroll the words that Jeremiah spoke to him. This happened in the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was ruling over Judah.

The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬第四年，有这话从耶和华临到耶利米，说：

在我叔父的儿子哈拿篾和签字作证的人，并坐在护卫兵院内所有犹大人眼前，交给玛西雅的孙子尼利亚的儿子巴录。

耶利米召了尼利亚的儿子巴录来；巴录就从耶利米口中，把耶和华对耶利米所说的一切话写在书卷上。

于是，耶利米又取一书卷交给尼利亚的儿子巴录文士，他就从耶利米的口中写了犹大王约雅敬在火中所烧书卷上的一切话，另外又添了许多相仿的话。

“我将买契交给尼利亚的儿子巴录以后，就向耶和华祷告说：

约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬第四年，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的元年，耶和华论犹大众百姓的话临到耶利米。

约雅敬登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王十一年。他行耶和华—他上帝眼中看为恶的事。

约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬登基时，有这话从耶和华临到耶利米，说：

尼利亚的儿子巴录就照耶利米先知所吩咐的一切去做，在耶和华殿中宣读书卷上耶和华的话。约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬第五年九月，耶路撒冷的众百姓和那从犹大城镇前来耶路撒冷的众百姓，在耶和华面前宣告禁食，

官长们就派犹底，就是古示的曾孙、示利米雅的孙子、尼探雅的儿子到巴录那里，对他说：“你把你所念给百姓听的书卷拿在手里，到我们这里来。”尼利亚的儿子巴录就手拿书卷到他们那里去。他们对他说：“请坐下，念给我们亲耳听。”巴录就念给他们亲耳听。他们听见这一切话就害怕，面面相觑，对巴录说：“我们必须将这一切话禀告王。”他们问巴录说：“请你告诉我们，你怎样从他口中写下这一切话呢？”巴录回答说：“他向我口述这一切话，我就用笔墨把它写在书卷上。”

王吩咐王的儿子耶拉篾、亚斯列的儿子西莱雅和亚伯叠的儿子示利米雅，去捉拿巴录文士和耶利米先知；耶和华却将他们隐藏起来。

这是尼利亚的儿子巴录挑唆你害我们，要把我们交在迦勒底人手中，使我们被杀或被掳到巴比伦去。”加利亚的儿子约哈难和所有的军官、百姓，都不肯听从耶和华的话留在犹大地。加利亚的儿子约哈难和所有的军官却将幸存的犹大人，就是从被赶到的各国回来，在犹大地寄居的男人、妇女、孩童和众公主，并尼布撒拉旦护卫长留在沙番的孙子，亚希甘的儿子基大利那里的众人，与耶利米先知，以及尼利亚的儿子巴录，
