When Baruch son of Neriah wrote on a scroll the words Jeremiah the prophet dictated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, Jeremiah said this to Baruch:

Jeremiah talked to Baruch, the son of Neriah. It was in the fourth year that Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, was king of Judah. It was when Baruch had written down on a scroll the words Jeremiah the prophet told him to write. Jeremiah had said,

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the dictation of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

The prophet Jeremiah gave a message to Baruch son of Neriah in the fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, after Baruch had written down everything Jeremiah had dictated to him. He said,

This is the word that the prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch son of Neriah when he wrote these words on a scroll at Jeremiah’s dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah:

This is the message which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at Jeremiah’s dictation, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying:

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the instruction of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

This is the word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch son of Neriah when he wrote these words on a scroll at Jeremiah’s dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah:

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

The prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch son of Neriah while he was writing down in a scroll the words that Jeremiah spoke to him. This happened in the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was ruling over Judah.

The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬执政第四年，耶和华对耶利米说：

我当着堂兄弟哈拿篾、证人和护卫兵院子里所有犹大人的面，把地契交给玛西雅的孙子、尼利亚的儿子巴录。

耶利米就叫来尼利亚的儿子巴录。巴录按耶利米的口述把耶和华的话写在卷轴上，

于是，耶利米又拿了一个卷轴，交给尼利亚的儿子书记巴录，他按耶利米的口述，把犹大王约雅敬烧毁的那卷轴上的话都记下来，还增添了许多类似的话。

我把地契交给尼利亚的儿子巴录之后，便向耶和华祷告说：

犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬执政第四年，即巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒元年，耶和华告诉了耶利米有关犹大百姓的事。

约雅敬二十五岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政十一年。他做他的上帝耶和华视为恶的事。

犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬执政初期，耶和华对耶利米说：

尼利亚的儿子巴录照耶利米先知的吩咐，在耶和华的殿中宣读卷轴上耶和华的话。犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬执政第五年九月，耶路撒冷和犹大各城的人都在耶和华面前宣告禁食。

众官长就派古示的曾孙、示利米雅的孙子、尼探雅的儿子犹底去请巴录把当众宣读的卷轴拿来。巴录拿着卷轴到他们那里，他们请他坐下，把卷轴读给他们听。巴录就读给他们听。他们听后吓得面面相觑，对巴录说：“我们必须把这些话禀告王！请告诉我们，你是怎么写下这些话的？是耶利米口授的吗？”巴录说：“是耶利米口授、我记录在卷轴上的。”

还命令自己的儿子耶拉篾、亚斯列的儿子西莱雅和亚伯德的儿子示利米雅去拘捕书记巴录和耶利米先知。但耶和华把他们藏了起来。

是尼利亚的儿子巴录怂恿你反对我们，好叫我们落在迦勒底人手中，任由他们宰杀或掳到巴比伦。”于是，加利亚的儿子约哈难和众将领及民众都不听从耶和华让他们留在犹大的命令。加利亚的儿子约哈难和众将领率领民众下到埃及的答比匿。民众中有流亡到各国又返回犹大的余民和护卫长尼布撒拉旦留给沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利管理的男女妇孺、公主以及耶利米先知和尼利亚的儿子巴录。他们没有听从耶和华的命令。
