昔於猶大國、耶路撒冷逵衢爾列祖作惡、猶大王與后亦然、爾與爾妻、更無不然、爾豈忘之乎。

爾列祖之惡事、猶大列王之惡事、其后妃之惡事、爾曹之惡事、及爾妻之惡事、在猶大地、在耶路撒冷街衢所作者、爾豈忘之乎、

Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your ancestors and by the kings and queens of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the evil things done by your people of long ago? The kings and queens of Judah did those same things. So did you and your wives. They were done in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem.

Have you forgotten the evil of your fathers, the evil of the kings of Judah, the evil of their wives, your own evil, and the evil of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the sins of your ancestors, the sins of the kings and queens of Judah, and the sins you and your wives committed in Judah and Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the evils of your ancestors, the evils of Judah’s kings, the evils of their wives, your own evils, and the evils of your wives that were committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah and the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten all the wicked things that have been done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem by your ancestors, by the kings of Judah and their wives, by you and your wives?

他们在犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街上所做的，你难道没有看见吗？孩子捡柴，父亲烧火，妇女揉面做饼，献给天后，又向别神献浇酒祭，惹我发怒。

从前我们在毗珥犯的罪孽，导致瘟疫临到耶和华的会众，甚至到今日都还没有洗净，这还算小事吗？你们今日竟然离弃耶和华不跟从他！你们今日既然悖逆耶和华，明日他必向以色列全会众发怒。若你们认为所得为业之地不洁净，可以过来，到耶和华之地，就是耶和华的帐幕所居住之地，在我们中间得地业。你们却不可悖逆耶和华，也不可背叛我们，在耶和华—我们神的坛以外为自己筑坛。从前谢拉的曾孙亚干岂不是在那当灭的物上犯了罪，导致愤怒临到以色列全会众吗？死在他所犯的罪中的，不只是他一个人而已！’”

从我们祖先的日子直到今日，我们的罪恶深重；因我们的罪孽，我们和君王、祭司都交在邻国诸王的手中，被杀害，掳掠，抢夺，脸上蒙羞，正如今日的景况。现在耶和华—我们的神暂且向我们施恩，为我们留下一些残存之民，使我们如钉子钉在他的圣所，让我们的神光照我们的眼目，使我们在受辖制之中稍微复兴。我们是奴仆，然而在受辖制之中，我们的神没有丢弃我们，在波斯诸王面前向我们施恩，叫我们复兴，能重建我们神的殿，修补毁坏之处，使我们在犹大和耶路撒冷有城墙。“我们的神啊，既然如此，现在我们还有什么话可说呢？因为我们离弃了你的诫命，就是你藉你仆人众先知所吩咐的，说：‘你们要去得为业之地是污秽之地，因列邦民族的污秽和可憎的事，叫这地从这边到那边都充满了污秽。现在，不可把你们的女儿嫁给他们的儿子，也不可为你们的儿子娶他们的女儿，永不可求他们的平安和他们的利益，这样你们就可以强盛，吃这地的美物，并把这地留给你们的子孙永远为业。’我们因自己的恶行和大罪，遭遇这一切的事，但你—我们的神惩罚我们轻于我们罪所当得的，又为我们留下这些残存之民。我们岂可再违背你的诫命，与行这些可憎之事的民族结亲呢？若我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，将我们灭绝，以致没有一个余民或残存之民吗？耶和华—以色列的神啊，你是公义的，我们才能剩下这些残存之民，正如今日的景况。看哪，我们在你面前有罪恶，因此无人能在你面前站立得住。”

“你们与你们祖先、君王、官长，以及这地的百姓，在犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街市上所烧的香，耶和华岂不记得，放在他心上吗？

我们犯罪作恶，行恶叛逆，偏离你的诫命典章，没有听从你仆人众先知奉你的名向我们君王、官长、祖先和这地所有百姓所说的话。主啊，你是公义的，但我们犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，并你所赶到各国的以色列众人，不论远近，因为背叛了你，脸上蒙羞，正如今日一样。耶和华啊，我们和我们的君王、官长、祖先因得罪了你，脸上就都蒙羞。

那些知道自己妻子向别神烧香的男人，与站在那里的一大群妇女，就是住埃及地巴特罗所有的百姓，回答耶利米说：“论到你奉耶和华的名向我们所说的话，我们必不听从。我们定要照我们口中所说的一切话去做，向天后烧香，献浇酒祭，按着我们与我们祖先、君王、官长在犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街市上素常所做的一样；因为那时我们得以吃饱、享福乐，并未遇见灾祸。自从我们停止向天后烧香，献浇酒祭，我们倒缺乏这一切，又因刀剑饥荒灭绝。”妇女们说：“我们向天后烧香，献浇酒祭，做天后像的饼供奉它，向它献浇酒祭，难道我们的丈夫没有参与吗？”
