因为我知道你是顽梗的；你的颈项是铁的，你的额头是铜的。

“无奈，我的子民不听我的声音，以色列不肯听从我。我就任凭他们心里顽梗，随自己的计谋而行。我的子民若肯听从我，以色列肯行我的道，

他们却不留意；耸肩悖逆，耳朵发沉，不肯听从。他们的心坚硬如金刚石，不听律法和万军之耶和华藉着他的灵差遣从前先知所说的话。因此，万军之耶和华大发烈怒。

我曾给她悔改的机会，她却不肯悔改她的淫行。看吧，我要使她病倒在床上。那些与她犯奸淫的人若不悔改他们的行为，我也要使他们同受大患难。

耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香、向别神献浇酒祭的宫殿房屋，都必被玷污，和陀斐特一样。’”

他们转去效法他们祖先的恶行，不肯听我的话，竟随从别神，事奉它们。以色列家和犹大家违背了我与他们列祖所立的约。

甚愿你听从我的命令，你的平安就会如河水，你的公义如海浪，

他们却不听从，也不侧耳而听，竟随从自己顽梗的恶心去行。我就使这约中一切诅咒的话临到他们身上；这约是我吩咐他们遵行的，他们却不遵行。’”
