他们却戏弄神的使者，藐视他的话，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒临到他的子民身上，直到无法挽救。

我的子民却不听我的话，以色列不肯服从我。因此，我就任凭他们心里刚硬，随着自己的计谋行事。只要我的子民听从我，以色列肯遵行我的道，

我曾给她时间，让她悔改，她却不肯为她的淫行悔改。看哪，我要把她抛在大患难的床上；那些跟她行淫乱的人，如果不为她的行为悔改，我也要把他们抛在大患难中。

‘耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大列王的宫殿，都要像陀斐特一样成为不洁；人曾在这一切房屋宫殿的屋顶上，向天上的万象烧香，向别神浇奠祭。’”

他们回到他们祖先所犯的罪孽中。他们的祖先不肯听从我的话，却随从事奉别的神。以色列家和犹大家都违犯了我和他们列祖所立的约。”

但愿你一向都留心听从我的命令，这样你的平安就像河水滔滔，你的公义就如海浪滚滚；
