“‘ I will give you a sign that I will punish you in this place,’ announces the Lord.‘ Then you can be sure that my warnings of harm against you will come true.’

“‘ This will be the sign to you that I will punish you in this place,’ declares the Lord,‘ so that you will know that my threats of harm against you will surely stand.’

This shall be the sign to you, declares the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, in order that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for harm:

“‘ And this is the proof I give you,’ says the Lord,‘ that all I have threatened will happen to you and that I will punish you here.’

This will be a sign to you’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ that I will punish you in this place, so you may know that my words of disaster concerning you will certainly come to pass.

And this will be the sign to you,’ declares the Lord,‘ that I am going to punish you in this place, so that you may know that My words will assuredly stand against you for harm.’

And this shall be a sign to you,’ says the Lord,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’

And this shall be the sign unto you, saith Jehovah, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

This will be a sign to you’— this is the Lord’s declaration—‘ that I am about to punish you in this place, so you may know that My words of disaster concerning you will certainly come to pass.

And this[ shall be] a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

Moreover the LORD says,‘ I will make something happen to prove that I will punish you in this place. I will do it so that you will know that my threats to bring disaster on you will prove true.

“‘ This will be the sign to you,’ says Yahweh,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for evil.’

A person may have many plans in their heart. But the Lord’ s purpose wins out in the end.

“ The prophet Daniel spoke about‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) Someday you will see it standing in the holy place. The reader should understand this.Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.

The grass dries up. The flowers fall to the ground. But what our God says will stand forever.’ ”

The Lord says,‘ I am going to hand over Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt. I will hand him over to his enemies who want to kill him. In the same way, I handed over King Zedekiah to Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. He was the enemy who wanted to kill Zedekiah.’ ”

“ A time is coming when you will see armies surround Jerusalem. Then you will know that it will soon be destroyed.Those who are in Judea should then escape to the mountains. Those in the city should get out. Those in the country should not enter the city.

“ You will see‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) It will stand where it does not belong. The reader should understand this. Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.No one on the roof should go down into the house to take anything out.No one in the field should go back to get their coat.

“ Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.In the same way, when you see all these things happening, you know that the end is near. It is right at the door.What I’m about to tell you is true. The people living now will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
