Those who escape the sword and return to the land of Judah from Egypt will be very few. Then the whole remnant of Judah who came to live in Egypt will know whose word will stand— mine or theirs.

Some will not be killed. They will return to Judah from Egypt. But they will be very few. Then all the people of Judah who came to live in Egypt will know the truth. They will know whether what I say or what they say will come true.

And those who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who came to the land of Egypt to live, shall know whose word will stand, mine or theirs.

Only a small number will escape death and return to Judah from Egypt. Then all those who came to Egypt will find out whose words are true— mine or theirs!

猶大遺民、至伊及地以居者、心慕仍歸猶大地以居、將無一人遺存而得歸、其得歸者、惟逃避之數人而已、

其軍惟餘數人、如林之餘木無幾、小子可核而書之、

萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、爾與爾妻、口曾出言曰、我曾許願焚香灌奠、奉事天后、必償我願、爾曹果循爾口所言、以手成之、執意償爾之願、今爾曹居伊及之眾猶大人、宜聽主言、主曰、我指己之大名而誓、遍伊及所有之猶大人、不使其一人復稱我名曰、我指主耶和華永生而誓云、

但我言我命、我所諭我僕眾先知者、豈不悉臨及爾祖乎、彼遂悛悔、自謂自謂或作曰萬有之主已擬定、擬定或作立志循我道途道途或作動作行為、施報我身、已若是行於我矣、○

我自始而示終、在昔時預言未成之事、我言我之謀必立、凡我所悅者、我必成之、召彼鷙鳥、至自東土、召我所命定之人、來自遠方、我言既出必成之、我謀既定必行之、

惟主之謀猷、永立不廢、主之心意、世代長存、

當是日主必自大河至於伊及溪、將爾曹以色列人一一收集、若人擊樹而拾其果然、當是日必吹大角、凡流亡於亞述地者、被驅逐於伊及地者俱旋歸、在聖山、在耶路撒冷崇拜主、

萬有之主誓曰、我所立之旨必成、我所定之謀謀或作命下同必效、必敗亞述人於我國中、踐之於我山間、使以色列民脫於其軛、使以色列民之肩脫於其任、此乃我於天下所定之謀、於列國所行之罰、萬有之主既定其謀、誰能廢之、既行其罰、孰能禦之、○

天地可廢、我言不廢、

爾託主名所傳於我之言、我不聽從、必循我口所出之言而為、必焚香灌奠、奉事天后、循我平日所為、循昔我列祖與王公、在猶大諸邑、在耶路撒冷街衢所為、當時我得飽食享福、不遇患難、

以色列乎、爾民雖多若海沙、僅有遺民歸正、蓋滅絕已定、主之善義遍施、如水之漲溢、

若非主命、誰能言有則有、所有禍福、豈非定命於至上主之口、

摩西曰、何為違主之命、此事不能亨通、

爾當告之曰、主云、我指己永生而誓、我所聞爾之言、必循之以待爾、爾曹怨我、故凡爾見數者、自二十歲以上、屍骸俱仆於曠野、

故主天主如是云、我將以一石置於郇為基、乃已試之石、寶貴之屋隅石、堪為鞏固之基、凡信之者必不急切、我以公平為繩、以善義為準、爾以誑詐為掩蔽之所、雹必除之、爾以虛偽為藏身之處、水必沖之、或作我以公平為準繩以善義為吊錘使雹擊除誑詐之蔽所使水沖沒虛偽之藏處爾與死亡所立之約必廢、與示阿勒所結之盟不立、敵軍來時、如水汎濫四溢、經歷斯地、爾曹為彼所蹂躪、
