This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You and your wives have done what you said you would do when you promised,‘ We will certainly carry out the vows we made to burn incense and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.’“ Go ahead then, do what you promised! Keep your vows!

万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：你们和你们的妻都口中说、手里做，说：‘我们定要偿还所许的愿，向天后烧香、浇奠祭。’现在你们只管坚定所许的愿而偿还吧！

以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说，‘你们和你们的妻子曾许愿向天后烧香奠酒，并且身体力行。你们继续还所许的愿吧！’

万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们和你们的妻子亲口说过：我们一定要实行我们的愿，向天后烧香，浇奠祭。你们果然亲手作了。现在你们只管持定你们所许的愿，只管实行你们的誓言吧！’

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：你們和你們的妻都口中說、手裏做，說：『我們定要償還所許的願，向天后燒香、澆奠祭。』現在你們只管堅定所許的願而償還吧！

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：你們和你們的妻子口中說過、手裏做到，說：『我們定要向天后還願，向它燒香，獻澆酒祭。』現在你們儘管堅定所許的願，去還願吧！

萬有之主以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾與婦女、欲行之事、已出於口、曰、我曾發願、焚香灌奠、奉事天后、必償我願、必行所欲、

萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、爾與爾妻、口曾出言曰、我曾許願焚香灌奠、奉事天后、必償我願、爾曹果循爾口所言、以手成之、執意償爾之願、

The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says,‘ You and your wives have done what you promised you would do. You said,“ We will certainly keep the promises we made to the Queen of Heaven. We’ll burn incense to her. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her.” ’“ Go ahead then. Do what you said you would! Keep your promises!

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying,‘ We will surely perform our vows that we have made, to make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows!

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ You and your wives have said,“ We will keep our promises to burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven,” and you have proved by your actions that you meant it. So go ahead and carry out your promises and vows to her!’

This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ As for you and your wives, you women have spoken with your mouths, and you men fulfilled it by your deeds, saying,“ We will keep our vows that we have made to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings for her.” Go ahead, confirm your vows! Keep your vows!’

This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying,“ We will certainly perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” By all means fulfill your vows, and be sure to perform your vows!’

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying:‘ You and your wives have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying,“ We will surely keep our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” You will surely keep your vows and perform your vows!’

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and with your hands have fulfilled it, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink- offerings unto her: establish then your vows, and perform your vows.

This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says:‘ As for you and your wives, you women have spoken with your mouths, and you men fulfilled it by your deeds, saying,“ We will keep our vows that we have made to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings for her.” Go ahead, confirm your vows! Pay your vows!’

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ You women have confirmed by your actions what you vowed with your lips! You said,“ We will certainly carry out our vows to sacrifice and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.” Well, then fulfill your vows! Carry them out!’

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says,‘ You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and with your hands have fulfilled it, saying,“ We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her.”“‘ Establish then your vows, and perform your vows.’

The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted

Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning incense to other gods, along with all the women who were present— a large assembly— and all the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt, said to Jeremiah,“ We will not listen to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord!We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine.”The women added,“ When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes impressed with her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?”

There is no deep shadow, no utter darkness, where evildoers can hide.

but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.More than forty men were involved in this plot.They went to the chief priests and the elders and said,“ We have taken a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul.Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.”

You boast,“ We have entered into a covenant with death, with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.”

“‘ As for you, people of Israel, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will surely listen to me and no longer profane my holy name with your gifts and idols.
