We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. 子取薪、父舉火、婦人摶麵為餅、而奉天后、灌酒於他神、以激我怒、

願在埃及、死於耶和華手、爾時坐於肉鼎之側、食餅而飽、爾導我入此野、是欲以饑殺斯會眾也、○

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、爾與爾妻、口所言者以手成之、曰、我必如我所許之願、焚香灌奠於天后、今可堅爾願而償之、

如夫聞而廢之、則其許願所出之言、制心之約弗定、耶和華必宥之、因其夫廢之也、

違棄其上帝耶和華一切誡命、鑄二犢像、製造木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、

女曰、我父歟、爾既向耶和華啟口、請踐其言、以行於我、蓋耶和華為爾、復仇於爾敵亞捫族、

爾與爾祖、諸王牧伯、及斯土庶民、焚香於猶大諸邑、與耶路撒冷街衢、耶和華豈不記憶之、思念之、

耶路撒冷第宅、猶大列王宮室、凡在其上焚香於天象、灌酒於他神、而玷污者、必如陀斐特焉、○

彼以口腹為神、以辱為榮、以世情為念、終必淪亡、

惟彼違逆、而不聽我、不棄所慕可惡之物、不離埃及之偶像、故彼尚在埃及、我曰、必傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

故自疇昔、事尚未至、我先宣告、昭示於爾、免爾曰、此乃我之偶像所行、我之雕像鑄像所命、

王憂甚、然以矢故、又以同筵者在、不欲拒之、

如人指耶和華許願、或發誓以制其心、則勿食言、必循其口所出、

彼曰、我舌獲勝、口為我有、誰為我主兮、

我與列祖同干罪戾、行邪作惡兮、

蓋彼眾棄我、焚香於他神、以其手所為、激我之怒、故我發怒於此而不息、

爾祖之惡、及猶大王與后之惡、爾與爾妻之惡、即在猶大地、與耶路撒冷街衢所行者、爾忘之乎、

攻斯邑之迦勒底人、必縱火焚之、爰及屋宇、民在其巔、焚香於巴力、灌奠於他神、激我震怒之所、耶和華曰、以色列人與猶大人、自少行我所惡、以色列人專以其手所為、激我震怒、此邑自始建、迄於今日、干我怒、激我忿、致屏之於我前、蓋以色列人與猶大人、及其君王牧伯、祭司先知、暨猶大眾、耶路撒冷居民、惟惡是作、以激我怒、

緣知爾見贖、脫祖父所傳之妄行、非以金銀可壞之物、

我儕犯罪乖戾、行惡悖逆、離爾訓詞律例、未聽爾僕諸先知、奉爾之名告我君王、牧伯列祖、及國中庶民之言、主歟、惟爾為義、我則蒙羞、有如今日、猶大人、耶路撒冷居民、及以色列眾、因其獲罪於爾、或遠或近、被驅至於諸國、主歟、我與我之君王、牧伯列祖、因獲罪於爾、俱蒙羞恥、
