我們口中說過的一切話，我們一定去作，我們要向天后燒香，澆奠祭，好像我們自己和我們的列祖，以及我們的君王和領袖，在猶大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上所行的一樣。那時我們吃得飽，得享福樂，不見災禍。

我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、

We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. 兒子撿柴，父親生火，婦女摶麵，為天后做餅，又向別的神澆奠祭，惹我發怒。

我們的君王和領袖，我們的祭司和列祖，都沒有遵行你的律法，也沒有留心聽從你的誡命和你向他們鄭重的警告。

你嘴裡說出來的，你要謹守；你親口應許的甘心祭，就是你向耶和華你的神許的願，你要實行。

因為他們的母親賣了淫，懷他們的作了羞恥的事；因為她曾說：‘我要跟隨我那些愛人。我的餅和水，羊毛和麻布，油和我所喝的，都是他們給的。’因此，我要用荊棘堵塞她的通道，我要築牆圍住她，使她找不著出路。她要追趕她那些愛人，卻追不上；要尋找他們，卻找不著。她就說：‘我要回去，回到前夫那裡，因為從前比現在好得多了。’其實她不知道，是我把五穀、新酒、橄欖油賜給了她；甚至他們用來製造巴力的金銀，也是我大量給她的；因此，到了收割的時候，到了出酒的季節，我必收回五穀和新酒；用來給她遮蔽裸體的羊毛和麻布，我也必奪回。

以色列人對他們說：“我們寧願在埃及地坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃飯吃到飽的時候，死在耶和華的手裡！你們倒把我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全體會眾餓死啊！”

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你們和你們的妻子親口說過：我們一定要實行我們的願，向天后燒香，澆奠祭。你們果然親手作了。現在你們只管持定你們所許的願，只管實行你們的誓言吧！’

但是她丈夫聽見的時候，如果把這兩樣都廢了，婦人口中所說一切關於許願的話和約束自己的話，都必無效；她丈夫已經把這兩樣都廢了，耶和華也必赦免她。

他們丟棄耶和華他們神的一切吩咐，為自己做了兩個牛犢的鑄像，又做亞舍拉，並且敬拜天上的萬象和服事巴力；

她對他說：“我的父親啊，你既然向耶和華開過口許了願，就照著你口裡所說的向我行吧！因為耶和華已經在你的仇敵亞捫人身上，為你報了仇。”

“你們和你們的列祖，以及你們的君王、領袖，和全國的人民，在猶大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上燒的香，耶和華怎能忘記，他心裡怎能不想起呢？

‘耶路撒冷的房屋和猶大列王的宮殿，都要像陀斐特一樣成為不潔；人曾在這一切房屋宮殿的屋頂上，向天上的萬象燒香，向別神澆奠祭。’”

他們的結局是滅亡，他們的神是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞辱為榮耀，所思想的都是地上的事。

但是他們背叛了我，不肯聽從我；他們各人沒有拋棄他們眼中那些可憎的像，沒有離棄埃及的偶像。“‘那時我說，我要把我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，在埃及地向他們完全發盡我的怒氣。

所以我從古時就告訴了你；在事情還沒有發生以前，我就說給你聽了，免得你說：‘這些事是我的偶像所作的，是我的雕像和鑄像所命定的。’

希律王非常憂愁，但是因為他的誓言和在座的賓客，就不願拒絕她。

如果人向耶和華許願，或是起誓要約束自己，就不可食言，總要照著自己口裡所出的一切話行。

他們曾說：“我們必能以舌頭取勝；我們的嘴唇是自己的，誰能作我們的主呢？”

我們和我們的列祖都犯了罪，我們作了孽，也行了惡。

因為他們背棄了我，向別的神焚香。他們所行的一切都使我發怒，因此我的怒火要在這地方燃點，不會熄滅。

你們列祖的惡行、猶大列王的惡行、他們妻子的惡行、你們自己的惡行和你們妻子的惡行，就是在猶大地和耶路撒冷街上所行的，你們忘記了嗎？

攻打這城的迦勒底人必進來，放火燒城，城中的房屋都必燒光，因為這城的居民曾在那些房屋的屋頂上向巴力燒香，向別神澆奠祭，惹我發怒。事實上，以色列人和猶大人自幼以來，就專行我眼中看為惡的事；以色列人的手所作的，無不惹我發怒。’這是耶和華的宣告。‘因為這城自從建造的那天，直到今日，都不斷惹起我的怒氣和烈怒，以致我要把她從我面前除掉。這是因為以色列人和猶大人的一切惡行，就是他們和他們的君王、領袖、祭司、先知，以及猶大每一個人和耶路撒冷居民所行的，都惹我發怒。

因為知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖先傳下的妄行，不是憑著能壞的金銀等物，

我們犯了罪，行了不義，作了惡，背叛了你，偏離了你的誡命典章；沒有聽從你的僕人眾先知，他們奉你的名向我們的君王、領袖、列祖和國中所有的人民說話。主啊！你是公義的；我們滿面羞愧，正如今日的光景；我們猶大人、耶路撒冷的居民，和被你趕逐到遠近各地的以色列眾人，都因對你不忠而滿面羞愧。耶和華啊！我們和我們的君王、領袖、列祖，都滿面羞愧，因為我們得罪了你。
