The LORD spoke to Jeremiah concerning all the Judeans who were living in the land of Egypt, those in Migdol, Tahpanhes, Memphis, and in the region of southern Egypt.

『你們要傳揚於埃及，要宣告於密奪，宣告於挪弗和答比匿，說：「要站出來在陣位上，作好了準備；因為有刀劍在你四圍吞滅着人呢。」

當那日子、主必再舉手，擁有他自己的餘民，就是從亞述、從埃及、從巴忒羅、從古實、從以攔、從示拿和哈馬、以及海邊的沿岸各地、所剩下來的。

『你要吩咐以色列人轉變方向，在比哈希錄東面、密奪與海之間，在巴力洗分、東面紮營；你要對着巴力洗分、靠着海邊紮營。

瑣安的首領很愚昧，挪弗的首領受欺哄；埃及族派的中堅人物使埃及人走迷了路。

我必使巴忒羅荒涼，使火在瑣安中着起，我必向挪施判罰。

我在答比匿折斷了埃及的諸軛，使她勢力所驕矜的止息於其中；那時日光在答比匿必變為黑暗；這城必有密雲遮蔽她，她的人民呢、必被擄去。

我必恢復埃及人的故業，使他們返回他們的本地、他們根原之地、巴忒羅；在那裏他們必成為低微之國；

我必使火在埃及境內着起；訓必翻騰絞痛；挪必定被攻破；其城牆必破毁。

加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將軍便帶領了猶大所有餘剩之民、就是從被放逐到的各國回來、住在猶大地的男人、婦人、幼童、和王的女兒們、跟護衛長尼布撒拉旦所留在沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利那裏的眾人和神言人耶利米、以及尼利亞的兒子巴錄；這些人就進了埃及地，因為他們不聽從永恆主的聲音；他們逕自去到答比匿。在答比匿永恆主的話傳與耶利米，說：

那麼、猶大餘剩之民哪，你們現在就要聽永恆主的話哦。萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：你們若硬着頭皮要進埃及，去寄居在那裏，那麼你們所怕的刀劍就會在埃及地那裏趕上你們；你們所恐懼的饑荒就會緊跟着你們到埃及那裏，使你們死在那裏。凡硬着頭皮要進埃及，而寄居在那裏的人、都必因刀劍饑荒或瘟疫而死，必沒有一人能殘存、而逃脫我所要降與他們的災禍。『因為萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說；我怎樣將我的怒氣烈怒倒在耶路撒冷的居民身上，你們進埃及時，我也必怎樣將我的烈怒倒在你們身上，使你們成了令人咒罵、令人驚駭、令人咒詛羞辱的對象，以致你們不得再見這地方。

那麼你就看吧，我跟你為敵，跟你的河為敵；我必使埃及地、從密奪到色弗尼、直到古實邊界、全然荒廢淒涼。

住埃及的人民哪，為自己豫備流亡時用的器物哦！因為挪弗必荒涼，必被燒燬，無人居住。
