你当倚靠耶和华而行善，安居地上，以他的信实为粮；

先知与王说话的时候，王对他说：“难道我们立你作王的谋士吗？你住口吧！为何要挨打呢？”先知就止住了，却说：“我知道神已定意要消灭你，因为你行这事，不听从我的劝戒。”

‘你们若仍留在这地，我就建立你们，必不拆毁；栽植你们，必不拔出；因我为所降与你们的灾祸感到遗憾。不要怕你们所惧怕的巴比伦王。不要怕他！因为我与你们同在，要拯救你们脱离他的手。这是耶和华说的。我要向你们施怜悯，他就怜悯你们，使你们归回本地。’倘若你们说：‘我们不留在这地’，不听从耶和华—你们神的话，

我就说，智慧胜过勇力；然而那贫穷人的智慧被人藐视，他的话也无人听从。
