He will set the temples of the gods of Egypt on fire. He will burn down their temples. He will take away the statues of their gods. Nebuchadnezzar will be like a shepherd who picks his coat clean of lice. Nebuchadnezzar will pick Egypt clean and then depart.

I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.

He will set fire to the temples of Egypt’s gods; he will burn the temples and carry the idols away as plunder. He will pick clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd picks fleas from his cloak. And he himself will leave unharmed.

万军之耶和华以色列的神说：“我必刑罚挪的亚扪和法老，并埃及与埃及的神，以及君王，也必刑罚法老和倚靠他的人。

你举目向四方观看；他们都聚集来到你这里。耶和华说：“我指着我的永生起誓：你必要以他们为妆饰佩戴，以他们为华带束腰，像新妇一样。

披上亮光，如披外袍，铺张穹苍，如铺幔子，

你因倚靠自己所做的和自己的财宝必被攻取。基抹和属他的祭司、首领也要一同被掳去。

我要使祭司披上救恩，圣民大声欢呼！

彼勒屈身，尼波弯腰；巴比伦的偶像驮在兽和牲畜上。他们所抬的如今成了重驮，使牲畜疲乏，

在这一切之外，要存着爱心，爱心就是联络全德的。

“你要以荣耀庄严为妆饰，以尊荣威严为衣服；

并且穿上新人；这新人是照着神的形像造的，有真理的仁义和圣洁。

锡安哪，兴起！兴起！披上你的能力！圣城耶路撒冷啊，穿上你华美的衣服！因为从今以后，未受割礼、不洁净的必不再进入你中间。

要穿戴神所赐的全副军装，就能抵挡魔鬼的诡计。

我因耶和华大大欢喜；我的心靠神快乐。因他以拯救为衣给我穿上，以公义为袍给我披上，好像新郎戴上华冠，又像新妇佩戴妆饰。

我要使他的仇敌披上羞耻；但他的冠冕要在头上发光。”

看哪，有一队军兵骑着马，一对一对地来。他就说：“巴比伦倾倒了！倾倒了！他一切雕刻的神像都打碎于地。”

你们要在万国中传扬报告，竖立大旗；要报告，不可隐瞒，说：“巴比伦被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊惶。巴比伦的神像都蒙羞；他的偶像都惊惶。

都交给王极尊贵的一个大臣，命他将衣服给王所喜悦尊荣的人穿上，使他骑上马，走遍城里的街市，在他面前宣告说：王所喜悦尊荣的人，就如此待他。”

黑夜已深，白昼将近。我们就当脱去暗昧的行为，带上光明的兵器。

那时，外人必起来牧放你们的羊群；外邦人必作你们耕种田地的，修理葡萄园的。

耶和华必向他们显可畏之威，因他必叫世上的诸神瘦弱。列国海岛的居民各在自己的地方敬拜他。

所以，你们既是神的选民，圣洁蒙爱的人，就要存怜悯、恩慈、谦虚、温柔、忍耐的心。

他以公义为铠甲，以拯救为头盔，以报仇为衣服，以热心为外袍。

我必刑罚巴比伦的彼勒，使他吐出所吞的。万民必不再流归他那里；巴比伦的城墙也必坍塌了。

非利士人将偶像撇在那里，大卫和跟随他的人拿去了。
