He will set the temples of the gods of Egypt on fire. He will burn down their temples. He will take away the statues of their gods. Nebuchadnezzar will be like a shepherd who picks his coat clean of lice. Nebuchadnezzar will pick Egypt clean and then depart.

I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.

He will set fire to the temples of Egypt’s gods; he will burn the temples and carry the idols away as plunder. He will pick clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd picks fleas from his cloak. And he himself will leave unharmed.

万军之耶和华以色列的神说：“看哪！我必惩罚挪的亚扪神、法老和那些倚靠法老的人。

主耶和华这样说：“‘我必毁灭偶像，使虚无的神像从挪弗灭绝。必不再有君王从埃及地而出；我也必使惧怕临到埃及地。

因为在那一夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人或是牲畜，都要杀掉；我也要审判埃及的一切神祇，我是耶和华。

关于埃及的默示：看哪！耶和华驾着轻快的云，来到埃及；埃及的偶像在他面前战兢，埃及人的心都惊怕。

他以咒诅当作衣服穿上，咒诅就像水一般进入他的内脏，像油一样进入他的骨头。愿这咒诅像衣服一般给他披上，并当作他常常束上的腰带。

你举目向四周观看吧！他们都集合到你那里来。耶和华说：“我指着我的永生起誓，你要披戴他们，如同披戴装饰品；你要以他们作华带束腰，像新妇一样。

你披上亮光好像披上外袍；展开诸天好像铺张帐幔。

你因为倚靠你的成就和财富，就必被攻取；基抹必被掳去，事奉它的祭司和领袖都必一同被掳去。

我要使祭司都披上救恩，使圣民都大大欢呼。

彼勒俯伏，尼波弯腰；巴比伦人的偶像驮在走兽和牲口上。你们所抬的现在都成了重担，成了疲乏的牲畜身上的重负。

在这一切之上，还要有爱心，爱心是联系全德的。

你当以庄严与尊贵为装饰，以尊荣与威严为衣服。

并且穿上新人。这新人是照着神的形象，在公义和真实的圣洁里创造的。

锡安哪！你要醒来；醒来，披上你的力量。圣城耶路撒冷啊！要穿上你华美的衣服。因为未受割礼的和不洁净的人，都再不得进到你那里去。

要穿戴神所赐的全副军装，使你们能抵挡魔鬼的诡计。

我因耶和华大大欢喜，我的心靠着我的神快乐，因为他给我穿上救恩的衣服，给我披上公义的外袍，好像新郎戴上华冠，又像新娘佩戴装饰。

我要使他的仇敌都披上羞辱，但他的冠冕必在他头上发光。”

看哪！有一队骑兵来了，马兵一对一对而来。”又有人答话说：“倾倒了，巴比伦倾倒了！它所有雕刻的神像都被打碎在地上了。”

“你们要在列国中传扬和宣告，要竖起旗帜宣扬，不可隐瞒，说：‘巴比伦被攻取了！彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊慌；巴比伦的神像都蒙羞，它的偶像都惊慌。’

把朝服和骏马交给王最尊贵的一个大臣手里，把衣服给王喜欢赐尊荣的人穿上，使他骑在马上，走过城中的街上，又要有人在他前面宣告：‘王喜欢赐尊荣的人，要这样待他。’”

黑夜已深，白昼近了，所以我们要除掉暗昧的行为，带上光明的武器。

那时，外人要服事你们，牧放你们的羊群，外族人要作你们的农夫和葡萄园丁。

对于他们，耶和华是可畏惧的，因为他要消灭地上一切神祇；那时，列国海岛上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。

所以，你们既然是神所拣选的，是圣洁、蒙爱的人，就要存怜悯的心肠、恩慈、谦卑、温柔和忍耐。

他穿上公义的铠甲，戴上救恩的头盔，穿上复仇的衣服，披上热心作外袍。

我必惩罚巴比伦的彼勒，使它从口中吐出它所吞噬的；列国必不再归附它，巴比伦的城墙也倒塌了。

非利士人把他们的神像遗弃在那里，大卫和跟随他的人就把它们拿走了。
