然則何以言之、律法豈惡之因乎、曰、不然、非法無以見惡、蓋律法不禁欲、吾末由識欲、

以盟約之詞、誦於民聽。僉曰、耶和華所諭、我必遵行。

爾與子孫、當畢生畏爾上帝耶和華、守我所傳之法度禮儀、則可享遐齡。以色列族乎、宜聽我言、而守此命、則於產乳與蜜之地、爾可納福昌熾、循爾祖之上帝耶和華所許爾者。

勤勞而得食、獲福而亨通兮、

曰、誡既善、乃為死我何耶、曰、不然、我之惡、以誡之善致死、是我之惡、因誡愈形其惡者也、

如以色列族、我民恪遵我命、聽從我道兮、則其仇敵、余必敗之甚速、則其寇讎、予必擊之弗緩兮、使逆我之輩、強歸附予、我之選民、永膺多福兮。余必賜嘉麥以供之、巖穴出蜜、以哺之兮。

體欲之情者、不服上帝法、故逆上帝、蓋服法而不能焉、

民謂約書亞曰、我欲奉事我上帝耶和華而遵其命。

宜訓於有眾曰、善者必蒙綏祉、而獲善報、
