So now, be sure of this: You will die by the sword, famine and plague in the place where you want to go to settle.”

So here is something else you can be sure of. You will die of war, hunger and plague. You want to go and make your homes in Egypt. But you will die there.”

Now therefore know for a certainty that you shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”

凡硬着頭皮要進埃及，而寄居在那裏的人、都必因刀劍饑荒或瘟疫而死，必沒有一人能殘存、而逃脫我所要降與他們的災禍。

因為你看，他們雖往亞述去，埃及卻要把他們收拾掉；孟斐斯人必埋葬他們；他們的銀製寶物蕁麻必佔據；他們帳棚中必生長荊棘。

主永恆主這麼說：『你要拍掌頓腳說哈哈，高興以色列家行這一切可憎之壞事所要遭受的報應，就是他們必倒斃於刀劍饑荒和瘟疫之下。

他必來攻擊埃及地：那該遭疫癘的就遭疫癘，該被擄的就被擄，該被刀殺的就被刀殺。

你要從其中拿出小數來，裝在你的衣邊裏。再從這些之中取些扔在火中，在火中焚燒；就必有火從那裏面出來燒入以色列全家。
