The Lord has spoken to you, you remnant of Judah,“ Do not go to Egypt!” You know for certain that I have admonished you today.

猶大的餘民啊，耶和華已告訴你們不要去埃及。別忘了我今日給你們的警告，

猶大之遺民歟、耶和華論爾、既言毋入埃及、我今日警戒爾矣、爾當知之、

耶利米曰、爾曹猶大遺民、耶和華諭爾、勿往埃及、予今日告爾、爾尚其知之。

耶利米又曰、爾曹猶大遺民、主諭爾勿往伊及、亦當知我今日切切警教爾、

“ Remnant of Judah, the Lord has told you,‘ Do not go to Egypt.’ Be sure of this: I warn you today

“ The Lord has spoken to you who are left in Judah. He has said,‘ Do not go to Egypt.’ Here is something you can be sure of. I am warning you about it today.

The Lord has said to you, O remnant of Judah,‘ Do not go to Egypt.’ Know for a certainty that I have warned you this day

“ Listen, you remnant of Judah. The Lord has told you:‘ Do not go to Egypt!’ Don’t forget this warning I have given you today.

The LORD has spoken concerning you, remnant of Judah:‘ Don’t go to Egypt.’ Know for certain that I have warned you today!

“ The Lord has said concerning you, O remnant of Judah,‘ Do not go to Egypt!’ Know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

Jehovah hath spoken concerning you, O remnant of Judah, Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have testified unto you this day.

The Lord has spoken concerning you, remnant of Judah:‘ Don’t go to Egypt.’ Know for certain that I have warned you today!

The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

“ The LORD has told you people who remain in Judah,‘ Do not go to Egypt.’ Be very sure of this: I warn you here and now.

“ Yahweh has spoken concerning you, remnant of Judah,‘ Don’t go into Egypt!’ Know certainly that I have testified to you today.

In any case, he is not to acquire many horses for himself, nor shall he make the people return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall never again return that way.’

“ But they became rebellious and revolted against You, And threw Your Law behind their backs And killed Your prophets who had admonished them In order to bring them back to You, And they committed great blasphemies.

And admonished them in order to turn them back to Your Law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to Your commandments but sinned against Your ordinances, Which, if a person follows them, then he will live by them. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen.However, You remained patient with them for many years, And admonished them by Your Spirit through Your prophets, Yet they would not listen. Therefore You handed them over to the peoples of the lands.

“ Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord,“ Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin;Who proceed down to Egypt Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh, And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be your shame, And the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.For their officials are at Zoan And their ambassadors arrive at Hanes.Everyone will be ashamed because of a people who do not benefit them, Who are not a help or benefit, but a source of shame and also disgrace.”The pronouncement concerning the animals of the Negev: Through a land of distress and anguish, From where come lioness and lion, viper and flying serpent, They carry their riches on the backs of young donkeys, And their treasures on camels’ humps, To a people who will not benefit them;Even Egypt, whose help is vain and empty. Therefore, I have called her“ Rahab who has been exterminated.”

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help And rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, And does not retract His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers, And against the help of the workers of injustice.Now the Egyptians are human and not God, And their horses are flesh and not spirit; So the Lord will stretch out His hand, And any helper will stumble, And one who is helped will fall. And all of them will come to an end together.

And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on urging them, saying,“ Be saved from this perverse generation!”

But if you keep refusing to surrender, this is the word which the Lord has shown me:

However, if you have warned the righteous person that the righteous is not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall certainly live because he took warning; and you have saved yourself.”

Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all people.For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.

As for them, whether they listen or not— for they are a rebellious house— they will know that a prophet has been among them.

Then it will come about, when many evils and troubles find them, that this song will testify before them as a witness( for it shall not be forgotten from the mouth of their descendants); for I know their inclination which they are developing today, before I bring them into the land which I swore.”

Yet He sent prophets to them to bring them back to the Lord; and they testified against them, but they would not listen.

and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.

But he revolted against him by sending his messengers to Egypt so that they might give him horses and many troops. Will he succeed? Will he who does these things escape? Can he indeed break the covenant and escape?

So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds,
