猶大王亞撒第三年，巴沙殺死了拿答接續他作王。巴沙一作王，就擊殺了耶羅波安的全家。凡有氣息的，他都沒有留下一個，直到滅盡了，正如耶和華藉著他的僕人示羅人亞希雅所說的話一樣。

因為他們的腳奔向邪惡，他們急於流人的血。

為了殺人流血，他們的腳步飛快，

心利就進去擊打他，把他殺死了，接續他作王，這事發生在猶大王亞撒第二十七年。心利一登基，坐了王位以後，就把巴沙的全家擊殺了；連他的親屬和朋友，也沒有留下一個男子。心利這樣滅絕巴沙的全家，是照著耶和華藉耶戶先知責備巴沙所說的話。

“人子啊！那些住在以色列地廢墟裡的人常說：‘亞伯拉罕一個人就得了這地為業；我們人數眾多，這地更應該給我們為業。’因此，你要對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說：你們吃帶血的祭肉，舉目仰望你們的偶像，並且流人的血，你們還可以得這地為業嗎？你們倚仗自己的刀劍，行可憎惡的事，人人玷污鄰舍的妻子，你們還可以得這地為業嗎？’

比加轄的軍長，利瑪利的兒子比加陰謀背叛他，在撒瑪利亞王宮的衛所擊殺他；與比加同謀的，有亞珥歌伯和亞利耶，以及和他一起的五十個基列人；比加把他殺死，接續他作王。
