犹大王亚撒第三年，巴沙杀死了拿答接续他作王。巴沙一作王，就击杀了耶罗波安的全家。凡有气息的，他都没有留下一个，直到灭尽了，正如耶和华藉着他的仆人示罗人亚希雅所说的话一样。

因为他们的脚奔向邪恶，他们急于流人的血。

为了杀人流血，他们的脚步飞快，

心利就进去击打他，把他杀死了，接续他作王，这事发生在犹大王亚撒第二十七年。心利一登基，坐了王位以后，就把巴沙的全家击杀了；连他的亲属和朋友，也没有留下一个男子。心利这样灭绝巴沙的全家，是照着耶和华藉耶户先知责备巴沙所说的话。

“人子啊！那些住在以色列地废墟里的人常说：‘亚伯拉罕一个人就得了这地为业；我们人数众多，这地更应该给我们为业。’因此，你要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说：你们吃带血的祭肉，举目仰望你们的偶像，并且流人的血，你们还可以得这地为业吗？你们倚仗自己的刀剑，行可憎恶的事，人人玷污邻舍的妻子，你们还可以得这地为业吗？’

比加辖的军长，利玛利的儿子比加阴谋背叛他，在撒玛利亚王宫的卫所击杀他；与比加同谋的，有亚珥歌伯和亚利耶，以及和他一起的五十个基列人；比加把他杀死，接续他作王。
