暗利用二他連得銀子向撒瑪買了撒馬利亞山，在山上造城，就按着山的原主撒瑪的名，給所造的城起名叫撒馬利亞。

用火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，又焚燒耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大戶家的房屋。

以色列的全會眾都聚集在示羅，把會幕設立在那裏，那地已經被他們制伏了。

「你們是耶和華－你們神的兒女。不可為死人用刀劃身，也不可將額上剃光；

羅波安往示劍去；因為以色列人都到了示劍要立他作王。

雅各從巴旦‧亞蘭回來的時候，平平安安地到了迦南地的示劍城，在城東支搭帳棚，

耶路‧巴力的兒子亞比米勒到了示劍見他的眾母舅，對他們和他外祖全家的人說：

耶羅波安在以法蓮山地建築示劍，就住在其中；又從示劍出去，建築毗努伊勒。

他們上巴益，又往底本，到高處去哭泣。摩押人因尼波和米底巴哀號，各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剃淨。

每年上到耶和華殿的時候，以利加拿都以雙分給哈拿；毗尼拿仍是激動她，以致她哭泣不吃飯。

猶大王亞撒三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基作了以色列王。暗利的兒子亞哈在撒馬利亞作以色列王二十二年。

遇見猶大王亞哈謝的弟兄，問他們說：「你們是誰？」回答說：「我們是亞哈謝的弟兄，現在下去要問王和太后的眾子安。」耶戶吩咐說：「活捉他們！」跟從的人就活捉了他們，將他們殺在剪羊毛之處的坑邊，共四十二人，沒有留下一個。

頭的周圍不可剃，鬍鬚的周圍也不可損壞。不可為死人用刀劃身，也不可在身上刺花紋。我是耶和華。

那地的主－希未人、哈抹的兒子示劍看見她，就拉住她，與她行淫，玷辱她。

你的僕人原來喜悅她的石頭，可憐她的塵土。

哈嫩便將大衛臣僕的鬍鬚剃去一半，又割斷他們下半截的衣服，使他們露出下體，打發他們回去。

所以我要向這稱為我名下、你們所倚靠的殿，與我所賜給你們和你們列祖的地施行，照我從前向示羅所行的一樣。

以色列人從埃及所帶來約瑟的骸骨，葬埋在示劍，就是在雅各從前用一百塊銀子向示劍的父親、哈抹的子孫所買的那塊地裏；這就作了約瑟子孫的產業。

你們且往示羅去，就是我先前立為我名的居所，察看我因這百姓以色列的罪惡向那地所行的如何。」
