The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah. He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon.

A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah. It came after Nebuzaradan, the commander of the royal guard, had set him free at Ramah. Jeremiah was being held by chains when Nebuzaradan found him. Jeremiah was among all the prisoners from Jerusalem and Judah. They were being taken to Babylon.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he took him bound in chains along with all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah who were being exiled to Babylon.

永恆主這麼說：『在拉瑪聽見有聲音，悲苦痛哭的聲音，是拉結哭她的兒女，不肯因兒女的緣故而受安慰，因為他們不在了。』

希律將要把他提出來的前一夜，彼得睡在兩個兵當中，被兩條鎖鍊捆綁着；門前的守衛兵們又看守着監牢。忽然有主的一個天使站在旁邊，有光照在獄室裏。天使拍着彼得的肋旁，叫醒了他，說：『趕快起來！』彼得的鎖鍊就從他手上掉下來。

於是保羅回答說：『你們幹麼哭、使我心碎呢？為了主耶穌的名、不但被捆綁、就是死在耶路撒冷、我都準備作的。』

為了這個緣故、我才請諸位來見面談談。我原是為了以色列的指望才掛着這鎖鍊的。』

（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

然後回到拉瑪，因為他的家在那裏；他也在那裏為以色列人審案；他並且在那裏給永恆主築了一座祭壇。

因為他打破了銅門，砍斷了鐵閂。

至於耶利米呢、巴比倫王則下了命令、由護衛長尼布撒拉旦經手辦理，說：『你帶他去，好好地照應他，怎樣都不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就怎樣給他辦好啦。』於是護衛長尼布撒拉旦、和尼布沙斯班、要人首領、尼甲沙利薛、貴族首領、以及巴比倫王所有的首領、就打發了人。他們打發了人去，將耶利米從護衛監的院子提出來，交與沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，使他帶出去到家裏。於是耶利米就住在人民中間。

上帝使孤獨的有家住，領被囚的出到優游順遂之處；惟獨悖逆的住在乾燥之地。
