当那日，万军之主耶和华使人哭泣哀号，头上光秃，身披麻布。

我的百姓啊，应当腰束麻布，滚在灰中。要悲伤，如丧独子般痛痛哭号，因为灭命的忽然临到我们。

安逸的妇女啊，要战兢；无虑的女子啊，要颤栗，要脱去衣服，赤着身体，腰束麻布。

因此，耶和华的怒气向他的百姓发作。他伸手攻击他们，山岭就震动；他们的尸首在街市上好像粪土。虽然如此，他的怒气并未转消，他的手依然伸出。

他们只得屈身在被掳的人之下，仆倒在被杀的人中间。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消；他的手依然伸出。

“我要使你们的节期变为悲哀，你们一切的歌曲变为哀歌；我要使众人腰束麻布，头上光秃；我要使这悲哀如丧独子，其结局如悲痛的日子。

耶和华对摩西说：“拿下百姓中所有的领袖，对着太阳把他们悬挂在我面前，使我向以色列所发的怒气可以平息。”

耶和华的烈怒必不转消，直到他心中所定的成就了，实现了；末后的日子你们就会明白。

然而你们现在要禁食，哭泣，哀号，一心归向我。这是耶和华说的。你们要撕裂心肠，不要撕裂衣服。归向耶和华—你们的上帝，因为他有恩惠，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，有丰盛的慈爱，并且会改变心意，不降那灾难。

摩押上到神庙和底本的丘坛去哭泣；它因尼波和米底巴哀号，各人头上光秃，胡须剃净。他们在街市上腰束麻布，都在房顶和广场上哀号，泪流不停。

人子啊，你要呼喊哀号，因为这刀将临到我的百姓，临到以色列所有的领袖身上。他们和我的百姓都要交在刀下，所以你要捶胸。

东有亚兰人，西有非利士人；他们张口吞吃以色列。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消；他的手依然伸出。

摩押因毁坏蒙羞；你们要哀号呼喊，要在亚嫩报告：“摩押已成废墟！”

你们要哀号，因为耶和华的日子临近了！这日来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。

“人子啊，你要说预言；你要说，主耶和华如此说：哀哉这日！你们应当哭号，

玛拿西吞吃以法莲，以法莲吞吃玛拿西，他们又一同攻击犹大。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消；他的手依然伸出。

他使猛烈的怒气和愤怒、恼恨、苦难，成了一群降灾的使者，临到他们。

所以，主不喜爱他们的青年，也不怜悯他们的孤儿和寡妇；因为他们都是亵渎的，行恶的，并且各人的口都说愚妄的话。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消；他的手依然伸出。
