耶和華曰、我將判擬耶路撒冷居民告之曰、我必使災熇之風、來自曠野童山、較簸揚禾穀之風尤大、以擊斯邦之民。

當是時必告斯民及耶路撒冷人曰、炎熇之風、自曠野童山向我民而吹、非為簸揚、非為潔禾、

这树虽然被栽种了，又岂能长得茂盛呢？东风一吹，它岂不完全枯萎在园圃中了吗？’”

尽管以法莲在众弟兄中最强盛，但炙热的东风——耶和华的风要从沙漠刮来，使清泉枯竭，水井干涸。他储藏的一切珍宝都要被掳去。

“耶利米，你要对他们说，‘让我昼夜泪眼汪汪吧，因为我的同胞遭受重创，遍体鳞伤。

真希望我的头是水泉，眼是泪泉，好为我被杀的同胞昼夜哭泣；

我们的善行不过像肮脏的衣服，我们都像污秽的人，像渐渐枯干的叶子，我们的罪恶像风一样把我们吹去。

看啊，耶和华的怒气像暴风一样袭来，像旋风一样吹到恶人头上。

看啊，耶和华的怒气必如风暴一样横扫过来，刮到恶人头上。耶和华不完成祂心中的计划，祂的烈怒必不止息。将来有一天，你们会明白。

听啊！远处传来我同胞的哀鸣：“难道耶和华不在锡安了吗？难道她的王不在她那里了吗？”耶和华说：“他们为什么供奉雕刻的神像和外族无用的偶像，惹我发怒？”

我哭得眼睛失明，心如刀割，肝胆欲碎，因为人民惨遭毁灭，儿童和婴孩昏倒在街头。

耶和华说：“看啊，我要使毁灭的暴风袭击巴比伦和住在立加米的人。毁灭巴比伦人的日子一到，我要差遣外族人从四面八方攻击、消灭他们，如同狂风卷走碎秸。

祂手里拿着簸箕，要清理祂的麦场，把麦子收进仓库，用不灭的火烧尽糠秕。”

豺狼尚且哺养自己的幼儿，我的子民却像荒野的鸵鸟一样残忍无情。

祂与以色列人为敌，使他们被掳，驱逐他们离开本地，用从东方刮来的暴风吹散他们。

你要簸它们，让风吹散它们，让狂风卷走它们。但你要以耶和华为喜乐，以以色列的圣者为荣耀。

因此，万军之耶和华说：“看啊，我要熬炼、试验这些罪恶的子民，除此之外，我别无选择。

祂手拿簸箕，要把谷场清理干净，将麦子存入仓里，用不灭的火把糠秕烧尽。”

但它被愤怒地连根拔起，抛在地上。东风吹干了它的果实，粗壮的枝干折断枯干，被火焚烧。

因同胞被毁灭，我泪流成河。

虽然无人攻击，所多玛却在顷刻之间倾覆。我子民比所多玛受到的惩罚更重。

他们像晨雾，如转瞬即逝的朝露，像麦场上飞旋而去的糠秕，又像窗口冒出的轻烟。

我的百姓遭毁灭时，慈母亲手煮自己的儿女充饥。

所以，我说：“你们不要管我，让我痛哭一场吧！不要安慰我，我的同胞都被毁灭了。”
