猶大王西底家必不能逃脫迦勒底人的手，他必交在巴比倫王的手中；他們必面對面彼此說話，眼對眼互相對看。巴比倫王必把西底家帶到巴比倫去；西底家必留在那裡，直到我眷顧他的時候（這是耶和華的宣告）。即使你們和迦勒底人作戰，你們必不能戰勝’？”

你所有的后妃和你的兒女，都必被帶出來，去到迦勒底人那裡；你自己也不能從他們的手裡逃脫，因為你必被巴比倫王的手抓住；這城也必被火燒毀（“這城也必被火燒毀”有古抄本作“你必放火燒毀這城”）。”

護衛長尼布撒拉旦把他們拿住，帶到利比拉巴比倫王那裡。巴比倫王擊打他們，在哈馬地的利比拉把他們處死。這樣，猶大人被擄，離開了他們的國土。

亞述王從巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬和西法瓦音帶人來，安置在撒瑪利亞的城市，代替以色列人。他們就得了撒瑪利亞作產業，住在它的城市中。

還有迦巴勒人的地和東面的黎巴嫩全境，從黑門山下的巴力．迦得，直到哈馬口；

哈馬王陀以聽見大衛打敗了哈大底謝的全軍，

他們把王擒住，把他解到利比拉巴比倫王那裡；他們就宣判他的罪。

耶和華所膏立的，我們鼻孔的氣息，在他們的陷坑中被捉住；我們論到他曾說：“我們要在他的蔭庇之下，在列國中存活。”

因此耶和華領亞述王的將帥來攻打他們，用鈎子鈎著瑪拿西，用銅鍊鎖住他，把他帶到巴比倫去。

猶大受盡痛苦，飽經勞役，更遭流徙異地。她住在列國中，找不著安居之所。在困境之中，追趕她的人把她追上了。

他們上去窺探了那地，從尋的曠野到利合，直到哈瑪關口。

他留下的就是非利士人的五個首領，和所有迦南人、西頓人，以及住在黎巴嫩山上的希未人，從巴力．黑門山直到哈馬口。

可是這人背叛了巴比倫王，差遣使者到埃及去，要得戰馬和大軍。他能亨通嗎？行這樣事的人，怎能逃脫呢？他破壞條約，怎能逃脫呢？我指著我的永生起誓：他藐視了自己所起的誓，背棄了與王所立的約，因此他必死在巴比倫，就是那立他作王的巴比倫王的國家。這是耶和華的宣告。敵人建造圍城的高牆，築起攻城土壘要剪除多人的時候，法老率領大軍和大隊人馬，還是不能幫助他作戰。他藐視誓言，背棄條約；他已宣誓效忠，卻又行了這一切事，所以他必不能逃脫。因此主耶和華這樣說：我指著我的永生起誓：他既然藐視我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他的頭上。我要把我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捕獲；我要把他帶到巴比倫去，並且要在那裡因他對我不忠的罪審判他。他軍中所有的精兵（按照《馬索拉文本》，“精兵”作“逃跑的人”；現參照其他抄本、《七十士譯本》和其他古譯本翻譯），都必倒在刀下；剩下的也必分散到四方；你們就知道說這話的是我耶和華。

這過強的風要為我颳來，我就要向他們宣告我的判詞。”
