‘因为我必定搭救你；你必不会倒在刀下，必可以捡回自己的性命，因为你信靠我。’”这是耶和华的宣告。

蓋爾惟我是賴、我必拯爾、不仆於刃、俾獲生命、如獲掠物、耶和華言之矣、

爾惟我是賴、我手援爾、救爾生命、免於鋒刃、我耶和華已言之矣。

我必拯救爾、免爾亡於鋒刃、必得保全爾之生命、因爾賴我故、此乃主所言、

I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.’”

留在這城裡的必死於戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫，出城向迦勒底人投降的必保全性命、逃過一死。

「耶和華說，『凡留在這城的，必死於刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫；凡出去向迦勒底人投降的，必保全性命。』

信靠耶和華、倚靠耶和華的人有福了！這樣的人像一棵栽在水邊的樹，根扎入水中，不怕炎熱，不怕乾旱，綠葉如蔭，不斷結果。

而是敬畏祂、仰望祂慈愛的人。

耶和華必救贖祂的僕人，投靠祂的人必不被定罪。

你使堅信不移的人全然平安，因為他們信靠你。

要降服在祂兒子面前，免得祂發怒，你們便在罪惡中滅亡，因為祂的怒氣將臨。投靠祂的人有福了！

耶和華拯救義人，患難時作他們的庇護所。耶和華幫助他們，拯救他們脫離惡人，因為他們投靠祂。

我要告訴你，耶和華說，『我必在整個大地上拆毀我所建立的，剷除我所栽培的。你想為自己謀求大事嗎？不要謀求，因為我要給世人降下災禍。但不論你到哪裡，我必使你保住性命。這是耶和華說的。』」

好讓我們這些首先在基督裡得到盼望的人都來頌讚祂的榮耀。

沒有上帝律法的人若犯罪，雖然不按律法受審判，仍要滅亡；有上帝律法的人若犯罪，必按律法受審判。

你們藉著基督信了使祂從死裡復活、賜祂榮耀的上帝，所以，你們的信心和盼望都在於上帝。

擊敗了夏甲人及其盟軍，因為他們信靠上帝，在作戰的時候向上帝求助，上帝應允了他們的祈求。

萬軍之耶和華啊，信靠你的人有福了！

但耶和華看顧敬畏祂、仰望祂慈愛的人。

要信靠耶和華，要行善，要在這片土地上安然度日。

你們不要倚靠權貴，不要倚靠世人，他們救不了你們。他們氣息一斷，便歸回塵土，他們的打算轉眼成空。蒙雅各的上帝相助、仰望上帝耶和華的人有福了！耶和華創造了天、地、海和其中的萬物，祂永遠信實可靠。
