以实玛利把米斯巴剩下的人，就是众公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓都掳去，他们原是尼布撒拉旦护卫长交给亚希甘的儿子基大利的。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利掳了他们，要到亚扪人那里去。

在利比拉，巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女；巴比伦王又杀了犹大所有的贵族，

你若不归顺巴比伦王的官长，这城必交在迦勒底人手中。他们必用火焚烧，你也不得脱离他们的手。”

他们在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

凡脱离刀剑的幸存者，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孙的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起。这就应验耶和华藉耶利米的口所说的话：地得享安息；在荒凉的日子，地就守安息，直到满了七十年。

我就照这一切话对犹大王西底家说：“你们要把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，服事他和他的百姓，就得存活。你和你的百姓何必因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死亡，像耶和华所论不肯服事巴比伦王的国家呢？

我所见的异象如同从前我来灭城的时候所见的异象，又如我在迦巴鲁河边所见的异象，我就脸伏于地。

先知若被骗说了一句预言，是我—耶和华骗了那先知，我要伸手攻击他，把他从我百姓以色列中除灭。

迦勒底的军队追赶西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全军都离开他溃散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到哈马地利比拉的巴比伦王那里；巴比伦王就判他的罪。巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，又在利比拉杀了犹大全体的官长，并且挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去，将他囚在监里，直到他死的日子。巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十，在巴比伦王面前侍立的尼布撒拉旦护卫长进入耶路撒冷，他焚烧了耶和华的殿、王宫和耶路撒冷的房屋；用火焚烧所有大户人家的房屋。
