以實瑪利把米斯巴剩下的人，就是眾公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓都擄去，他們原是尼布撒拉旦護衛長交給亞希甘的兒子基大利的。尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利擄了他們，要到亞捫人那裏去。

在利比拉，巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女；巴比倫王又殺了猶大所有的貴族，

你若不歸順巴比倫王的官長，這城必交在迦勒底人手中。他們必用火焚燒，你也不得脫離他們的手。」

他們在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。

凡脫離刀劍的倖存者，迦勒底王都擄到巴比倫去，作他和他子孫的僕婢，直到波斯國興起。這就應驗耶和華藉耶利米的口所說的話：地得享安息；在荒涼的日子，地就守安息，直到滿了七十年。

我就照這一切話對猶大王西底家說：「你們要把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，服事他和他的百姓，就得存活。你和你的百姓何必因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死亡，像耶和華所論不肯服事巴比倫王的國家呢？

我所見的異象如同從前我來滅城的時候所見的異象，又如我在迦巴魯河邊所見的異象，我就臉伏於地。

先知若被騙說了一句預言，是我－耶和華騙了那先知，我要伸手攻擊他，把他從我百姓以色列中除滅。

迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王就判他的罪。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女，又在利比拉殺了猶大全體的官長，並且挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十，在巴比倫王面前侍立的尼布撒拉旦護衛長進入耶路撒冷，他焚燒了耶和華的殿、王宮和耶路撒冷的房屋；用火焚燒所有大戶人家的房屋。
