But if you will not surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, this city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians and they will burn it down; you yourself will not escape from them.’”

耶和華如此說：「我必將猶大王西底家和他的首領，以及剩在這地耶路撒冷的餘民，並住在埃及地的猶大人都交出來，好像那極壞、壞得不可吃的無花果。我必使他們交出來，在天下萬國中拋來拋去，遭遇災禍；在我趕逐他們到的各處成為凌辱、笑談、譏刺、咒詛。我必使刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫臨到他們，直到他們從我所賜給他們和他們列祖之地滅絕。」

因為猶大王西底家已將他囚禁，說：「你為甚麼預言說，耶和華如此說：『我必將這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他必攻取這城。猶大王西底家必不能逃脫迦勒底人的手，定要交在巴比倫王的手中，要口對口彼此說話，眼對眼彼此相看。巴比倫王必將西底家帶到巴比倫；西底家必住在那裏，直到我眷顧他的時候。你們雖與迦勒底人爭戰，卻不順利。這是耶和華說的。』」

城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門逃跑。迦勒底人正在四圍攻城，王就向亞拉巴逃走。迦勒底的軍隊追趕王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全軍都離開他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到在利比拉的巴比倫王那裏審判他。在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初七日，巴比倫王的臣僕、護衛長尼布撒拉旦來到耶路撒冷，用火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，又焚燒耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大戶家的房屋。跟從護衛長迦勒底的全軍就拆毀耶路撒冷四圍的城牆。

猶大王約雅斤被擄後三十七年，巴比倫王以未‧米羅達元年十二月二十七日，使猶大王約雅斤擡頭，提他出監；又對他說恩言，使他的位高過與他一同在巴比倫眾王的位，給他脫了囚服。他終身常在巴比倫王面前吃飯。王賜他所需用的食物，日日賜他一分，終身都是這樣。

「人必將你的后妃和你的兒女帶到迦勒底人那裏；你也不得脫離他們的手，必被巴比倫王的手捉住；你也必使這城被火焚燒。」

城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門，出城逃跑；迦勒底人正在四圍攻城。他們就往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到在哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王便審判他。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又在利比拉殺了猶大的一切首領，並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。

迦勒底人必再來攻打這城，並要攻取，用火焚燒。

「耶和華－以色列的神說，你去告訴猶大王西底家，耶和華如此說：我要將這城交付巴比倫王的手，他必用火焚燒。你必不能逃脫他的手，定被拿住，交在他的手中。你的眼要見巴比倫王的眼，他要口對口和你說話，你也必到巴比倫去。

猶大王約雅斤和他母親、臣僕、首領、太監一同出城，投降巴比倫王；巴比倫王便拿住他。那時是巴比倫王第八年。

耶路撒冷被攻取的時候，巴比倫王的首領尼甲‧沙利薛、三甲‧尼波、撒西金－拉撒力、尼甲‧沙利薛－拉墨，並巴比倫王其餘的一切首領都來坐在中門。

我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中纏住。我必帶他到巴比倫，並要在那裏因他干犯我的罪刑罰他。他的一切軍隊，凡逃跑的，都必倒在刀下；所剩下的，也必分散四方。你們就知道說這話的是我－耶和華。」

你這受死傷行惡的以色列王啊，罪孽的盡頭到了，受報的日子已到。主耶和華如此說：當除掉冠，摘下冕，景況必不再像先前；要使卑者升為高，使高者降為卑。我要將這國傾覆，傾覆，而又傾覆；這國也必不再有，直等到那應得的人來到，我就賜給他。」

迦勒底的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，將他拿住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裏；尼布甲尼撒就審判他。巴比倫王在利比拉、西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又殺了猶大的一切貴冑，並且剜西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，要帶到巴比倫去。

我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中纏住。我必帶他到迦勒底人之地的巴比倫；他雖死在那裏，卻看不見那地。
