Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that[ is] in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.

西底家王遣人攜先知耶利米、入耶和華室第三門覲王、王語之曰、我問爾一事、爾毋隱於我、

Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and had him brought to the third entrance to the temple of the Lord.“ I am going to ask you something,” the king said to Jeremiah.“ Do not hide anything from me.”

Then King Zedekiah sent word and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance that is in the house of the Lord; and the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am going to ask you something; do not hide anything from me.”

Some time later Zedekiah sent and had Jeremiah brought to him at the third entrance of the LORD’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah,“ I would like to ask you a question. Do not hide anything from me when you answer.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent and took Jeremiah the prophet to himself into the third entry that is in Yahweh’s house. Then the king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

And he said, What[ is] the thing that[ the LORD] hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide[ it] not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide[ any] thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It[ is] the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but[ that which is] true in the name of the LORD?

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do[ it].

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there[ any] word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God,[ even] for all this remnant;( for we are left[ but] a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard[ you]; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass,[ that] whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare[ it] unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king’s entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.

And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
