Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and had him brought to the third entrance to the temple of the Lord.“ I am going to ask you something,” the king said to Jeremiah.“ Do not hide anything from me.”

Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet. The king had him brought to the third entrance to the Lord’ s temple.“ I want to ask you something,” the king said to Jeremiah.“ Don’t hide anything from me.”

One day King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah and had him brought to the third entrance of the Lord’s Temple.“ I want to ask you something,” the king said.“ And don’t try to hide the truth.”

King Zedekiah sent for the prophet Jeremiah and received him at the third entrance of the LORD’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah,“ I am going to ask you something; don’t hide anything from me.”

Then King Zedekiah sent word and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance that is in the house of the Lord; and the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am going to ask you something; do not hide anything from me.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance of the house of the Lord. And the king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

Some time later Zedekiah sent and had Jeremiah brought to him at the third entrance of the LORD’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah,“ I would like to ask you a question. Do not hide anything from me when you answer.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent and took Jeremiah the prophet to himself into the third entry that is in Yahweh’s house. Then the king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

以利說：“耶和華對你說了甚麼話呢？你不要向我隱瞞，他對你所說的一切話，如果你向我隱瞞一句，願神對付你，並且加倍對付你。”於是撒母耳把一切話都告訴了以利，一句也沒有隱瞞。以利說：“他是耶和華，他看怎麼好，就怎麼行吧。”

耶和華有話臨到耶利米。那時，西底家王差遣瑪基雅的兒子巴施戶珥，和瑪西雅的兒子西番雅祭司去見耶利米，說：“請你替我們求問耶和華，因為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒來攻擊我們；也許耶和華會為我們行奇事，使尼布甲尼撒離開我們回去。”

王對他說：“我要囑咐你多少次，你才奉耶和華的名對我只說真話呢？”

你們實在自己欺騙自己，因為是你們委派我去見耶和華你們的神，你們說：‘請為我們向耶和華我們的神禱告；無論耶和華我們的神說甚麼，你都要告訴我們，我們就必照著去作。’

後來，西底家王派人去把他帶出來；王在自己的宮中私下問他，說：“從耶和華那裡有話來嗎？”耶利米回答：“有！”又說：“你必交在巴比倫王的手中。”

對耶利米先知說：“求你容我們向你懇求，請為我們這餘剩的民向耶和華你的神禱告；因為我們從前人數眾多，現在剩下的極少，就像你現在親眼所見的一樣。請為我們求耶和華你的神指示我們當走的路和該作的事。”耶利米先知對他們說：“我聽見了！我必照著你們的話禱告耶和華你們的神。耶和華回答你們所說的一切話，我必告訴你們，一句也不會向你們隱瞞。”於是他們對耶利米說：“我們若不照著耶和華你的神差遣你到我們這裡來所說的一切話去作，願耶和華作真實和誠信的見證，指控我們。

又因亞述王的緣故，他把耶和華殿裡為安息日而建造的廊子，和王從外邊進殿的廊子，從耶和華的殿內拆除。

桌上的食物、臣僕的座位、僕人的侍候、他們的服飾、王的酒政和王在耶和華的殿獻上的燔祭，就驚奇得不知所措。

王對他說：“我要囑咐你多少次，你才會奉耶和華的名對我只說真話呢？”
