So King Zedekiah commanded that Jeremiah not be returned to the dungeon. Instead, he was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace. The king also commanded that Jeremiah be given a loaf of fresh bread every day as long as there was any left in the city. So Jeremiah was put in the palace prison.

So King Zedekiah gave orders, and Jeremiah was placed in the guard’s courtyard. He was given a loaf of bread each day from the bakers’ street until all the bread was gone from the city. So Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard.

這人必居高處，他的保障是磐石的堡壘，必有糧食賜給他，飲水也不致斷絕。

於是彼得被囚在監裏，教會卻為他切切禱告神。

你們要先求神的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。

保羅在自己所租的房子裏住了足足兩年。凡來見他的人，他都接待，

我為這福音的奧祕作了帶鐵鏈的使者，讓我能照着當盡的本分放膽宣講。

夜間每逢時辰開始，要起來呼喊，在主面前傾心吐意如水。你的孩童在街頭上挨餓昏厥，你要為他們的性命向主舉手。耶和華啊，求你觀看，留意你向誰這樣行。婦人豈可吃自己所生、所撫育的嬰孩嗎？祭司和先知豈可在主的聖所中被殺嗎？

王的心在耶和華手中像河水，他能使它隨意流轉。

我們進了羅馬城，保羅蒙准和那個看守他的兵另住在一處。

你要喝那溪裏的水，我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。」於是以利亞去了，他遵照耶和華的話做，去住在約旦河東的基立溪旁。烏鴉早上給他叼餅和肉來，晚上也有餅和肉，他又喝溪裏的水。

我叔父的兒子哈拿篾果然照耶和華的話來到護衛兵的院內，對我說：『請你買我在便雅憫境內、亞拿突的那塊地；因為它應該由你來承受，而且你也有代贖的責任。請你買下它吧！』我就知道這確是耶和華的話。

我的眼睛流淚，以致失明；我的心腸煩亂，肝膽落地，都因我的百姓遭毀滅，又因孩童和吃奶的在城內的廣場上昏厥。他們如受傷的人在城內廣場上昏厥，在母親的懷裏將要喪命時，就對母親說：「餅和酒在哪裏呢？」

我為這福音受苦難，甚至像犯人一樣被捆綁，然而神的話沒有被捆綁。

被刀劍刺殺的勝過因飢餓而死的；飢餓者由於缺乏田裏的出產就消瘦而亡。當我百姓遭毀滅的時候，慈心的婦人親手烹煮自己的兒女為食物。

人所行的若蒙耶和華喜悅，耶和華也使仇敵與他和好。

你當倚靠耶和華而行善，安居地上，以他的信實為糧；

他們必在你的各城圍困你，直到你在全地所倚靠、高大堅固的城牆都倒塌。他們必在耶和華－你神所賜給你全地的各城圍困你。你在仇敵圍困的窘迫中，必吃你本身所生的，就是耶和華－你神所賜給你的兒女之肉。你中間，連那溫和文雅的人都必冷眼惡待自己的兄弟和懷中的妻子，以及他所剩下其餘的兒女，不把所吃兒女的肉分一點給他們任何一個人，因為在被仇敵圍困、陷入窘迫的各城中，他已經一無所剩了。你中間柔順嬌嫩的婦人，甚至因柔順嬌嫩腳不肯踏地的婦人，也必冷眼惡待她懷中的丈夫和自己的兒女。在被仇敵圍困、陷入窘迫的城鎮中，她因缺乏一切，就要暗中把從她兩腿中間出來的胞衣和所生下的兒女吃了。

所以，不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為主被囚的為恥；總要靠着神的大能，與我為福音同受苦難。

吃奶孩子的舌頭因乾渴貼住上膛，孩童求餅，卻無人擘給他們。素來吃美好食物的，如今遭遺棄在街上；素來穿着朱紅衣裳長大的，如今卻擁抱糞堆。

過了兩年，波求‧非斯都接了腓力斯的任；腓力斯要討猶太人的喜歡，就把保羅留在監裏。

他們在患難的時候必不致羞愧，在饑荒的日子必得飽足。

因饑荒的乾熱，我們的皮膚熱如火爐。

派人把耶利米從護衛兵的院中提出來，交給沙番的孫子，亞希甘的兒子基大利，讓他自由進出屋子；於是耶利米住在百姓中間。耶利米還囚在護衛兵院中的時候，耶和華的話臨到他，說：

我為主作囚徒的勸你們，既然蒙召，行事為人就要與你們所蒙的呼召相稱。

耶和華的聖民哪，你們當敬畏他，因敬畏他的一無所缺。少壯獅子尚且缺食忍餓，但尋求耶和華的甚麼好處都不缺。
