西底家行永恆主所看為壞的事，像約雅敬一切所行的。因為是為了永恆主怒氣發作的緣故，事情在耶路撒冷和猶大才發展到永恆主竟丟掉他們離開自己面前。西底家背叛了巴比倫王。

掌權者傾聽虛假的話，他的臣僕就都邪惡。

他行了永恆主他的上帝所看為壞的事；不在神言人耶利米面前自己謙卑，雖然耶利米是奉永恆主的命令來說話的。並且呢，尼布甲尼撒王曾叫他指着上帝來起誓，他也背叛了那王；硬着脖子，心裏頑固，不歸向永恆主以色列的上帝。不但如此，眾祭司領袖和人民也大大地不忠實，像外國人所行一切可憎惡的事那樣；他們污瀆了永恆主的殿、就是永恆主在耶路撒冷所分別為聖的。永恆主他們列祖的上帝因為顧惜他自己的人民和居所，便又及時又屢次地警告、由他的使者經手傳出話來警告他們。他們卻直戲笑上帝的使者，藐視上帝的話，直譏誚他的神言人，以致永恆主向他人民發烈怒、到無法救治。

便由神言人拿單經手送個信兒，給孩子起名叫耶底底亞，照永恆主所吩咐的話。

以色列眾人將他埋葬，為他舉哀，正如永恆主的話、就是他由他僕人、神言人亞希雅、經手所說過的。

摩西說：『主啊，你要差遣誰經手去作，就差遣誰吧。』

於是亞倫和他兒子們行了永恆主經摩西手所吩咐的一切事。

我向眾神言人說了話；是我加多了異象，由眾神言人經手用比喻說的。

同時永恆主的話也由哈拿尼的兒子神言人耶戶經手來責備巴沙和他的家，是因為他在永恆主面前所行的一切壞事：將他的手所製作的去惹永恆主發怒，像耶羅波安的家一樣，並且是因為他擊殺了耶羅波安的家。

大衛說：『我要以厚愛待拿轄的兒子哈嫩，如同他父親以厚愛待我一樣。於是大衛差遣臣僕做代表為哈嫩父親的喪事去慰問他。大衛的臣僕到了亞捫人的地方。

由愚頑人經手傳話的、是砍斷自己的腳，自己吸飲着強暴。

你，眾所賤視之惡人，以色列王子啊，你的日子到了，就在罪罰結束的時候：

所以那棄絕這囑咐的不是棄絕人，乃是棄絕上帝，那賜他的聖靈給你們、的上帝。
