Zedekiah and his attendants didn’t pay any attention to what the Lord had said through Jeremiah the prophet. And the people of the land didn’t pay any attention either.

But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land listened to the words of the Lord that he spoke through Jeremiah the prophet.

But neither King Zedekiah nor his attendants nor the people who were left in the land listened to what the Lord said through Jeremiah.

He and his officers and the people of the land did not obey the words of the LORD that he spoke through the prophet Jeremiah.

西底迦像约雅敬一样做耶和华视为恶的事。因此，耶和华向耶路撒冷和犹大的人发怒，把他们从祂面前赶走。后来，西底迦背叛了巴比伦王。

君王若听谗言，臣仆必成奸徒。

他做他的上帝耶和华视为恶的事，耶利米先知向他传讲耶和华的话，他仍不肯在耶利米面前谦卑下来。尼布甲尼撒曾让他奉上帝的名起誓，他却背叛了尼布甲尼撒。他顽固不化，不肯归向以色列的上帝耶和华。所有祭司长和民众也都仿效外族人的一切可憎行径，犯了大罪，玷污了耶和华在耶路撒冷使之圣洁的殿。他们祖先的上帝耶和华因为怜爱祂的子民和祂的居所，就不断派使者来劝告他们。他们却嘲弄耶和华上帝的使者，藐视祂的话，嘲笑祂的先知，以致祂的愤怒临到祂的子民身上，无可挽救。

祂差遣拿单先知去赐给他一个名字——耶底底亚，意思是耶和华喜爱他。

以色列人埋葬了他，为他哀悼，正应验了耶和华借祂仆人亚希雅先知说的话。

但是摩西说：“主啊，请派其他人去吧。”

于是，亚伦父子们遵行了耶和华借摩西吩咐的一切。

我曾对先知讲话，赐给他们许多异象，借他们用比喻警告你们。”

耶和华借哈拿尼的儿子耶户先知谴责巴沙和他全家，是因为他像耶罗波安家一样做耶和华视为恶的事，惹耶和华发怒，也因为他杀了耶罗波安全家。

大卫说：“我要恩待拿辖的儿子哈嫩，因为他父亲曾经恩待我。”他便派臣仆去安慰丧父的哈嫩。大卫的臣仆来到亚扪境内，

靠愚人传信，如同砍断自己的脚，自讨苦吃。

你这邪恶败坏的以色列首领啊！你的结局到了，审判你的日子来了。’

所以，人若拒绝遵行这命令，他不是拒绝人，而是拒绝赐圣灵给你们的上帝。
