Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ What crime have I committed against you or your attendants or this people, that you have put me in prison?

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你们竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你们竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又问他：“我在什么事上得罪了你、你的臣仆或人民，以致你们把我囚在监牢中？

耶利米再对西底家王说：“我有什么得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这人民，你竟然把我送进监狱里呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你們竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你們竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又問他：「我在什麼事上得罪了你、你的臣僕或人民，以致你們把我囚在監牢中？

耶利米再對西底家王說：“我有甚麼得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這人民，你竟然把我送進監獄裡呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：『我有甚麼得罪了你，或你的臣僕，或這人民，你們竟把我下在監獄裏呢？

耶利米謂西底家王曰、我何所干罪於爾、或爾臣僕、或庶民、致幽我於獄耶、

耶利米又奏西底家王曰、我未嘗得罪於王臣百姓、下我於獄曷故、

耶利米又奏西底家王曰、爾曹囚我於獄、我於爾、爾臣僕斯民、得何罪耶、

Then Jeremiah continued,“ Why have you put me in prison? What crime have I committed against you? What have I done to your attendants or these people?

Jeremiah also said to King Zedekiah,“ What wrong have I done to you or your servants or this people, that you have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah asked the king,“ What crime have I committed? What have I done against you, your attendants, or the people that I should be imprisoned like this?

Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you or your servants or these people that you have put me in prison?

Moreover, Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ In what way have I sinned against you, or your servants, or this people, that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ What offense have I committed against you, against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, Wherein have I sinned against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you or your servants or these people that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah asked King Zedekiah,“ What crime have I committed against you, or the officials who serve you, or the people of Judah? What have I done to make you people throw me into prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said to king Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you, against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

but Jesus said to them,“ I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

Then Paul made his defense:“ I have done nothing wrong against the Jewish law or against the temple or against Caesar.”

My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

I found he had done nothing deserving of death, but because he made his appeal to the Emperor I decided to send him to Rome.

If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!”

If imposing a fine on the innocent is not good, surely to flog honest officials is not right.

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said,“ My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.”

Jacob was angry and took Laban to task.“ What is my crime?” he asked Laban.“ How have I wronged you that you hunt me down?

After they left the room, they began saying to one another,“ This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment.”

And he added,“ Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done, and what wrong am I guilty of?Now let my lord the king listen to his servant’s words. If the Lord has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. If, however, people have done it, may they be cursed before the Lord! They have driven me today from my share in the Lord’s inheritance and have said,‘ Go, serve other gods.’Now do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the Lord. The king of Israel has come out to look for a flea— as one hunts a partridge in the mountains.”Then Saul said,“ I have sinned. Come back, David my son. Because you considered my life precious today, I will not try to harm you again. Surely I have acted like a fool and have been terribly wrong.”

Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good.

So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

He said to Saul,“ Why do you listen when men say,‘ David is bent on harming you’?This day you have seen with your own eyes how the Lord delivered you into my hands in the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you; I said,‘ I will not lay my hand on my lord, because he is the Lord’s anointed.’See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty of wrongdoing or rebellion. I have not wronged you, but you are hunting me down to take my life.May the Lord judge between you and me. And may the Lord avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you.As the old saying goes,‘ From evildoers come evil deeds,’ so my hand will not touch you.“ Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Who are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea?May the Lord be our judge and decide between us. May he consider my cause and uphold it; may he vindicate me by delivering me from your hand.”

“ Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did not Hezekiah fear the Lord and seek his favor? And did not the Lord relent, so that he did not bring the disaster he pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster on ourselves!”
