Then King Zedekiah sent for him and had him brought to the palace, where he asked him privately,“ Is there any word from the Lord?”“ Yes,” Jeremiah replied,“ you will be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon.”

Then King Zedekiah sent for him. King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to the palace. There the king spoke to him in private. The king asked,“ Do you have a message from the Lord for me?”“ Yes,” Jeremiah replied.“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

King Zedekiah sent for him and received him. The king questioned him secretly in his house and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

Later King Zedekiah secretly requested that Jeremiah come to the palace, where the king asked him,“ Do you have any messages from the Lord?”“ Yes, I do!” said Jeremiah.“ You will be defeated by the king of Babylon.”

King Zedekiah later sent for him and received him, and in his house privately asked him,“ Is there a word from the LORD?”“ There is,” Jeremiah responded. He continued,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Now King Zedekiah sent men and took him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him and said,“ Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is!” Then he said,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon!”

then Zedekiah the king sent and took him out. The king asked him secretly in his house, and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon!”

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and fetched him: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from Jehovah? And Jeremiah said, There is. He said also, Thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

King Zedekiah later sent for him and received him, and in his house privately asked him,“ Is there a word from the Lord?”“ There is,” Jeremiah responded, and he continued,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there[ any] word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

Then King Zedekiah had him brought to the palace. There he questioned him privately and asked him,“ Is there any message from the LORD?” Jeremiah answered,“ Yes, there is.” Then he announced,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

then Zedekiah the king sent, and had him brought out. The king asked him secretly in his house,“ Is there any word from Yahweh?” Jeremiah said,“ There is.” He also said,“ You will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

耶和華曰、厥後、我必以猶大王西底家、暨其臣僕庶民、凡在邑中、疫癘鋒刃饑饉之餘、悉付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、與其諸敵、及索其命者之手、巴比倫王必擊之以刃、不惜之、不憐之、不加矜憫、○

王曰、我須幾次囑爾、奉耶和華名與我言、惟以誠實乎、

西底家王遣示利米雅子猶甲、與祭司瑪西雅子西番雅、往見先知耶利米曰、請爾為我禱我上帝耶和華、

西底家語耶利米曰、斯言勿令人知、爾則不死、如牧伯聞我與汝言、而詣爾曰、爾與王所言、及王所語爾者、告我毋隱、我則不殺爾、爾當語之曰、我乃求王、勿使我復返約拿單之室、免死於彼、諸牧伯詣耶利米問之、彼循王所命以答、其事不洩、眾遂止、不與之言、

其中之君、將乘昏夜、負荷而出、彼必穿垣、由此移物、亦必蒙面、蓋彼不得見斯土也、我必張網於其上、陷之於我擭、曳至迦勒底地之巴比倫、彼雖死於其地、而不得見之、

西底家王遣瑪基雅子巴施戶珥、祭司瑪西雅子西番雅、詣耶利米曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒將與我戰、求爾為我詢於耶和華、或耶和華依其奇行待我、使彼離我而去、

西底家王曰、彼在爾手、王不能禦爾也、

耶羅波安子亞比雅遘疾、耶羅波安謂妻曰、爾起改裝、免人知爾為耶羅波安妻、往於示羅、在彼有先知亞希雅、即昔告我必為斯民之王者、當攜十餅、暨薄餅、與蜜一瓶見之、彼必告爾、子將若何、耶羅波安妻如是而行、起往示羅、至亞希雅家、亞希雅年老、目眊不能視、

西底家王遣人攜先知耶利米、入耶和華室第三門覲王、王語之曰、我問爾一事、爾毋隱於我、耶利米對曰、我若告爾、爾豈不殺我乎、我若勸爾、爾必不聽、西底家王私與耶利米誓曰、我指肇造我魂、維生之耶和華而誓、必不殺爾、亦不付爾於索爾命者之手、

至於無花果之劣而不可食者、耶和華曰、此若猶大王西底家、與其牧伯、及耶路撒冷遺民、居於斯土之眾、與旅於埃及者、

耶和華曰、我必釋爾、使爾獲福、爾敵遇禍遭難時、必求於爾、○

蓋猶大王西底家囚之、曰、爾奚預言曰、耶和華云、我必付此邑於巴比倫王手、彼必取之、且猶大王西底家、不得脫迦勒底人手、必付於巴比倫王、而與之言、口相對、目相視、必攜西底家至巴比倫、居彼、迨我眷顧之之時、爾曹雖與迦勒底人戰、必不利達、耶和華言之矣、○

故耶和華論踐大衛位之王、與居斯邑之民、即爾昆弟未被虜而出者、萬軍之耶和華曰、我必使鋒刃饑饉疫癘臨之、俾若劣無花果、因惡而不可食、且以鋒刃饑饉疫癘逐之、播散於天下萬邦、在我驅其所至之國、受人呪詛、令人駭異、而被嗤笑侮辱、

主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼藐我誓、爽我約、我必以此罪歸於其首、必張我網於其上、陷之於我擭、曳至巴比倫、在彼鞫其逆我之罪、其軍中之遁者、必隕於刃、遺民散於四方、爾則知乃我耶和華所言也、○

猶大王西底家、暨其牧伯、我必付之於敵、及索其命者之手、並付於巴比倫王軍旅之手、即去爾而往者、耶和華曰、我必命之復返是邑、攻而取之、焚之以火、我亦必使猶大諸邑荒蕪、無人居處、

約沙法曰、在此、非有耶和華之先知、可藉以諮諏耶和華乎、以色列王之一僕對曰、昔傾水於以利亞之手者、沙法子以利沙在此、約沙法曰、彼有耶和華之言、以色列王與約沙法、及以東王、遂往見之、以利沙謂以色列王曰、我與爾何與、其詣爾父母之先知、以色列王曰、不然、耶和華集此三王、欲付於摩押人手、

因希律敬畏約翰、知其義且聖、而庇之、聞其言、心多猶豫、而喜聽之、

行惡重傷之以色列君乎、爾日屆矣、罰罪之期至矣、主耶和華曰、去其冕、脫其冠、諸事變易、卑者升之、高者降之、我必傾覆之、至再至三、所有者歸於無有、俟當得者至、則賜之焉、○

巴比倫王在利比拉、戮西底家諸子、使之目睹、亦戮猶大諸貴胄、抉西底家之目、縶之以鏈、欲攜至巴比倫、
