“我要使你们当中的那些幸存者在敌国心惊胆战，过着风声鹤唳、惶恐不安的生活。即使无人追赶，他们也将仓皇逃命，互相绊倒，如同躲避刀剑一样。你们必无力抵挡敌人。你们将葬身列国，死在敌人的土地上。

他们一人叱喝，必吓得你们千人逃跑；他们五人叱喝，你们必全部逃跑，以致余剩的人少得像山顶上的旗杆、高岗上的旗帜。”

只有你像一根毫无用处的树枝，被抛弃在自己的坟墓外。你就像一具遭人践踏的尸体，与丧身刀下的人一同被扔进乱石坑里。

以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘看啊，你们与围城的巴比伦王及其率领的迦勒底人作战，我要把你们的兵器掉转过来，我要把它们收集在城中心。我要在烈怒中伸出大能的臂膀下手击打你们，我要击打这城里的居民和牲畜，使他们死于瘟疫。然后，我要把犹大王西底迦及其臣仆以及城中逃过瘟疫、战争和饥荒的人都交给巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒等仇敌，使他们落在想杀灭他们的人手中。巴比伦王必残酷无情地杀戮他们。这是耶和华说的。’

而迦勒底人必卷土重来，攻占这城，将它付之一炬。

因此，你们要听听耶和华攻击巴比伦的策略，听听祂攻击迦勒底人的计划。他们的孩子要被拖走，他们的家园要被毁灭。

你们将不是被掳就是被杀。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还没有止息，祂降罚的手没有收回。

耶和华向祂的军队发号施令，祂的队伍不计其数，执行祂命令的是一支劲旅。耶和华的日子伟大而可畏，谁能承受得住呢？

被捉住的人都会被刺死，被逮住的人都会丧身刀下。

因此，你们要听听耶和华攻击以东的策略，听听祂攻击提幔居民的计划。他们的孩子要被拖走，他们的家园要被毁灭。

他们将被刀剑刺透，倒毙在自己的土地上，横尸街头。
