耶和華曰、我指己而誓、爾猶大王、約雅金子約雅斤、雖為我掌中之印、亦必棄之如遺。

巴比倫王八年、猶大王約雅斤同其母、爰及臣工、僕隸、官豎、俱出、降巴比倫王、巴比倫王、執之、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒虜猶大王約雅金子約雅斤、及猶大諸牧伯、與木工鐵工、自耶路撒冷至巴比倫、厥後耶和華以二筐示予、中盛無花果、置於殿前、

約雅斤若已毀之偶像、為人所藐視、又若器皿、不為民所娛玩、彼及子孫、已遭驅逐、至於素所未識之地曷故。

約西亞子臚列於左、長生約哈難、次約雅金、三西底家、四沙龍、約雅金子耶哥尼亞、西底家。

年僅八齡即位、都耶路撒冷、凡十旬、行惡於耶和華前。歲暮尼布甲尼撒王遣使臣、取王至巴比倫、虜耶和華殿之珍器、立約雅斤叔西底家、治猶大耶路撒冷、

猶大王約雅斤被虜之三十七年、十二月二十五日、巴比倫王以未米羅達即位、乃出猶大王約雅斤於獄、

當告違逆之族、云、爾知是乎、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其王公牧伯、至於巴比倫、與王子結約、加以盟誓、取其世家為質、使國為卑、不復振興、但守盟約、猶可自保。乃王子背巴比倫王約、遣使至埃及、欲其率軍馬以至、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、爽約之人、豈能獲救。我耶和華指己而誓、王子既為巴比倫王所立、藐視其主、爽其盟約、則必至巴比倫而沒、敵既築壘建營、欲滅邑眾、法老雖率旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、蓋王子於立約之後、不以盟誓為重、而爽其約、故不能免難。主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、罹之以網羅、陷之以坎阱、曳至巴比倫、在彼降災、以罰其罪、彼及流亡之眾、爰及軍旅、必殞於刃、遺民星散、使知我耶和華已言之矣。
