Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do; at the Lord’s temple he read the words of the Lord from the scroll.

Baruch, the son of Neriah, did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do. He went to the Lord’ s temple. There he read the words of the Lord from the scroll.

And Baruch the son of Neriah did all that Jeremiah the prophet ordered him about reading from the scroll the words of the Lord in the Lord’s house.

Baruch did as Jeremiah told him and read these messages from the Lord to the people at the Temple.

So Baruch son of Neriah did everything the prophet Jeremiah had commanded him. At the LORD’s temple he read the LORD’s words from the scroll.

耶穌來到拿撒勒自己長大的地方，照著習慣在安息日進入會堂，站起來要讀經。有人把以賽亞先知的書遞給他，他展開書卷找到一處，上面寫著：“主的靈在我身上，因為他膏我去傳福音給貧窮的人，差遣我去宣告被擄的得釋放，瞎眼的得看見，受壓制的得自由，又宣告主悅納人的禧年。”他把書卷捲好，交還侍役，就坐下。會堂裡眾人都注視他。他就對他們說：“這段經文今天應驗在你們中間（“中間”原文作“耳中”）了。”眾人稱讚他，希奇他口中所出的恩言，並且說：“這不是約瑟的兒子嗎？”他說：“你們必向我說這俗語：‘醫生，治好你自己吧！’也必說：‘我們聽見你在迦百農所行的一切事，也該在你本鄉這裡行啊！’”他又說：“我實在告訴你們，沒有先知在他本鄉是受歡迎的。我對你們說實話，當以利亞的時候，三年六個月不下雨（“不下雨”原文作“天閉塞”），遍地大起饑荒，那時以色列中有許多寡婦，以利亞沒有奉差遣往他們中間任何一個那裡去，只到西頓撒勒法的一個寡婦那裡。以利沙先知的時候，以色列中有許多患痲風的人，其中除了敘利亞的乃縵，沒有一個得潔淨的。”會堂裡的眾人聽見這話，都怒氣填胸，起來趕他出城（這城原來建在山上），他們拉他到山崖，要把他推下去。耶穌卻從他們中間走過，就離去了。

於是耶利米把尼利亞的兒子巴錄叫了來，巴錄就從耶利米口中，把耶和華向耶利米所說的一切話，都寫在書卷上。

我靠著主耶穌，希望不久就會差提摩太到你們那裡去，使我們知道你們的情況，可以得到鼓勵。沒有人與我同心，真正關心你們的事，因為大家只顧自己的事，而不理耶穌基督的事。不過，你們知道提摩太已證明了他的為人，他和我一同為了福音服事主，就像兒子跟父親一樣。

如果提摩太來了，你們務要使他在你們那裡不會懼怕，因為他像我一樣是作主的工作的。

在水門前面的廣場，從清早到中午，向眾男女和聽了能明白的人宣讀出來。眾民都側耳傾聽這律法書的話。
