Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe’s knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire.

Jehudi read three or four sections from the scroll. Then the king cut them off with a secretary’s knife. He threw them into the fire pot. He did that until the entire scroll was burned up in the fire.

As Jehudi read three or four columns, the king would cut them off with a knife and throw them into the fire in the fire pot, until the entire scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the fire pot.

你们这些好讥讽、在耶路撒冷统管百姓的人啊，要听耶和华的话。你们说：“我们已经和死亡立约，与阴间结盟。灾难席卷而来的时候，我们会安然无恙，因为我们以谎言为庇护所，以诡诈为藏身处。”

蔑视训言，自招灭亡；敬畏诫命，必得赏赐。

不接受我的劝诫，又藐视我的责备。

那些用虚假作绳子扯来罪恶，用套绳拉来邪恶的人有祸了！他们说：“让上帝快点完成祂的工作，好让我们看看；让以色列的圣者早点实现祂的计划，好让我们知道。”

告诉他们，‘王说，要把这人关在监牢，只给他一些饼和水，直到我平安地回来。’”

人心中有许多计划，唯耶和华的旨意成就。

任何智慧、悟性和谋略，都不能对抗耶和华。

免得有人听了这誓言后，心存侥幸地说，‘即使我一意孤行，连累他人，也必平安无事。’耶和华绝不会赦免这样的人，祂必向这样的人发烈怒，使记在这书上的一切咒诅临到他身上，从世上抹去他的名字。耶和华必把他从以色列各支派中隔离出来，使他按律法书上约中的一切咒诅受惩罚。

我必以公平为准绳，以公义作线锤。冰雹必砸碎你们虚谎的庇护所，洪水必淹没你们的藏身处。你们和死亡所立的约必被废弃，与阴间的结盟必不能长久。灾难席卷而来的时候，你们必遭毁灭。灾难必不分昼夜、日复一日地扫过，每次扫过都必将你们掳去。”明白这信息的人都必惊恐万分。你们的床太小，不能舒身；你们的被子太窄，不足裹身。耶和华必像在毗拉心山一样挺身而出，像在基遍谷一样发怒，要完成祂奇异的作为，成就祂不寻常的工作。现在你们不要再讥讽了，以免捆绑你们的绳索勒得更紧，因为我已从主——万军之耶和华那里听到毁灭全国的谕旨。

你憎恶我的管教，把我的话抛在脑后。

如果有人从这预言书上删减什么，上帝必使他无份于这书上所记载的生命树和圣城。

说：“我为何厌恶教诲，心里藐视责备！

论到犹大王约雅敬，你要这样写，‘耶和华说，你把卷轴烧掉，还说为什么上面写着巴比伦王必来毁灭这地方和其中的人畜。所以耶和华说，犹大王约雅敬啊，你的子孙没有一人能登大卫的宝座，你的尸体必被弃之荒野，遭受烈日的暴晒和夜霜的侵袭。我要因你、你后裔和你臣仆的罪恶而惩罚你们。因为你们不听我的警告，我要给你们以及耶路撒冷和犹大的居民降下我说过的灾祸。’”

屡教不改、顽固不化者，必突然灭亡，无可挽救。
