彼曰、我儕不飲、蓋我祖哩甲子約拿撻、禁予曰、爾及子孫、勿飲酒、歷世弗易。

曰、我儕不飲酒、因我祖利甲子約拿達、戒我曰、爾歷代勿飲酒、至於永遠、

But they replied,“ We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jehonadab son of Rekab gave us this command:‘ Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine.

But they replied,“ We don’t drink wine. That’s because Jehonadab gave us a command. He was the son of Rekab. He was also one of our own people from long ago. He commanded,‘ You and your children after you must never drink wine.

But they answered,“ We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us,‘ You shall not drink wine, neither you nor your sons forever.

but they refused.“ No,” they said,“ we don’t drink wine, because our ancestor Jehonadab son of Recab gave us this command:‘ You and your descendants must never drink wine.

But they replied,“ We do not drink wine, for Jonadab, son of our ancestor Rechab, commanded,‘ You and your descendants must never drink wine.

But they said,“ We will not drink wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying,‘ You shall not drink wine, you or your sons, forever.

But they said,“ We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying,‘ You shall drink no wine, you nor your sons, forever.

But they said, We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons, for ever:

But they replied,“ We do not drink wine, for Jonadab, son of our ancestor Rechab, commanded:‘ You and your sons must never drink wine.

But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine,[ neither ye], nor your sons for ever:

But they answered,“ We do not drink wine because our ancestor Jonadab son of Rechab commanded us not to. He told us,‘ You and your children must never drink wine.

But they said,“ We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying,‘ You shall drink no wine, neither you, nor your sons, forever.

耶戶離彼而往、遇利甲子約拿達來迎、乃問其安曰、爾心正直向我、如我心之正直向爾乎、約拿達曰、然、曰、如是、則與我攜手、遂與攜手、耶戶挽之登車、

蓋彼將於主前為大、清酒醇醪皆不飲、自母胎而聖神充之、

爾與爾子入會幕時、清酒醇醪勿飲、免爾死亡、此為永例、歷世弗替、

居雅比斯繕寫之家、特拉人、示米押人、蘇甲人、此皆基尼人、出於利甲家之祖哈末、

勿食葡萄樹所產、勿飲酒與醇醪、勿食不潔之物、凡我所諭、彼必守之、

乃謂我曰、爾將懷妊生子、酒與醇醪皆勿飲、不潔之物皆勿食、蓋此子自出胎、為拿細耳人歸於上帝、至於死日、

告以色列族云、如男女許願為拿細耳人、自為區別、歸於耶和華、清酒醇醪、必戒之、清酒醇醪所釀之醯、及葡萄汁、均勿飲、葡萄或鮮或乾、均勿食、自為區別時、葡萄樹所產、自實及皮、均不可食、既自許願區別、薙髮之刀、勿加於首、迨區別歸於耶和華之日既盈、彼必為聖、當留其髮、

凡爾宗族、必處是廬、歷至七日、俾爾子孫、歷世知我導其祖出埃及時、使之居廬、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝也、

我意因今時之艱、守其素者為善、既繫於婦、勿求釋、未繫於婦、勿求娶、爾娶非罪、處女嫁亦非罪、但若輩身必遭難、願爾免之、兄弟乎、我姑言之、時日促矣、今而後有妻者當如無妻、哭者如無哭、喜者如無喜、購者如無有、用此世者如不妄用、蓋斯世之情狀逝矣、

惟居於幕、悉遵我祖約拿達所命而行、

昔爾人寡、其數無幾、旅於斯土兮、

敬爾父母、此為寓許之首誡、俾爾暢遂享壽於世、

二子既長、以掃善獵、遨遊於野、雅各恬靜、居處於幕、

當時人寡、其數無幾、旅於斯土兮、

愛友乎、爾若客旅、若寄居、我勸爾戒形軀之慾、即攻爾心者也、

耶戶與利甲子約拿達、入巴力廟、謂崇拜巴力者曰、試觀察之、免有耶和華之僕在爾中、惟崇拜巴力者而已、

當敬爾父母、以致延年於爾上帝耶和華所賜之地、○

見律載耶和華命摩西云、於七月節期、以色列人當居於廬、並在諸邑、及耶路撒冷宣告曰、爾往於山、取橄欖、及野橄欖、崗拈、椶樹、與諸茂樹之枝、遵律所載、以構斯廬、民遂出、取枝構廬、在屋巔院內、上帝室院、及水門場、以法蓮門場、

蓋二人資財豐盛、牲畜繁多、所旅之地、不能容之、弗獲同居、

以信而旅於所許之地、如在異地、偕共承上帝所許之以撒雅各居於幕、蓋望有基之邑其營之造之者、上帝也、撒拉有信、雖逾生育之年、尚能懷妊、以許之者誠信也、故自一人猶已死者、生育如天星之繁多、海沙之無數、○此皆有信而死、未得所許、惟遙望而迎之、自謂在世為賓旅、為寄寓者、
