希西家王十四年、亞述王西拿基立、上攻猶大諸堅城取之、猶大王希西家遣使往拉吉、見亞述王曰、我獲罪矣、求爾離我、凡爾加諸我者、我必負之、亞述王遂定猶大王希西家納銀三百他連得、金三十他連得、

耶末、亞杜蘭、梭哥、亞西加、

宜宣於猶大、傳於耶路撒冷曰、當於境內吹角、大聲呼曰、集眾而入鞏固之邑、

當巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率其全軍、與其所轄之國及諸族、攻耶路撒冷與其屬邑時、耶和華諭耶利米之言、

耶和華潰敵於以色列人前、遂於基遍大行殺戮、追及伯和崙阪擊之、至於亞西加、瑪基大、適敵遁於以色列人前、在伯和崙阪、耶和華自天降大雹擊之、至亞西加、死於雹者、較以色列人以刃殺者尤眾、

耶末王、拉吉王、

於猶大山地建邑、亦在叢林建寨及樓、

拉吉居民歟、其以快馬駕車、錫安女獲罪、始於拉吉、以色列之罪戾、肇見於爾中、

爾上帝耶和華所賜爾之全地、其中諸邑、城垣高固、爾所恃也、敵必困爾於中、迨其傾圮、

當時猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷居民、將往呼籲其素所焚香之神、惟彼不拯之於難、

我儕靜坐何為乎、其會集而入鞏固之邑、隕亡於彼、我上帝耶和華飲我以毒水、使我隕亡、緣我干犯耶和華也、
