爾不得脫其手、必為人所執、付於巴比倫王手、而鞫詰問、面鞫詰問原文作爾之目將見巴比倫王之目其口將與爾口言爾必至巴比倫、

You will not escape from his grasp but will surely be captured and given into his hands. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes, and he will speak with you face to face. And you will go to Babylon.

You will not escape from his power. You will certainly be captured. You will be handed over to him. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes. He will speak with you face to face. And you will go to Babylon.

You shall not escape from his hand but shall surely be captured and delivered into his hand. You shall see the king of Babylon eye to eye and speak with him face to face. And you shall go to Babylon.’

猶大王西底家必不能逃脫迦勒底人的手，定要交在巴比倫王手中，他要親眼看到巴比倫王，親口跟他說話。

以後，我要將猶大王西底家和他的臣僕百姓，就是在城內，從瘟疫、刀劍、饑荒中倖存的人，都交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，交在仇敵和尋索其命的人手中。巴比倫王必用刀擊殺他們，不顧惜，不同情，不憐憫。這是耶和華說的。』

城被攻破，士兵全都在夜間從靠近王的花園、兩城牆中間的門逃跑。迦勒底人正在四圍攻城，王就往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；他們就判他的罪。他們在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。

我必將猶大王西底家和他的眾領袖交在仇敵和尋索其命的人手中，與那暫時離你們而去的巴比倫王軍隊的手中。

猶大王西底家和所有士兵看見他們，就在夜間從靠近王的花園、兩城牆中間的門逃跑出城，往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，將他逮住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裏；尼布甲尼撒就判他的罪。在利比拉，巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女；巴比倫王又殺了猶大所有的貴族，並且挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖住他，要帶到巴比倫去。

你若不歸順巴比倫王的官長，這城必交在迦勒底人手中。他們必用火焚燒，你也不得脫離他們的手。」

他輕看誓言，背棄盟約，看哪，雖已投降，卻又做這一切的事，他必不能逃脫。所以主耶和華如此說：我指着我的永生起誓，他既輕看我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他頭上。我要把我的網撒在他身上，他就被我的羅網纏住。我要帶他到巴比倫，在那裏因他背叛我的罪懲罰他。

城被攻破，士兵全都在夜間從靠近王園兩城牆中間的門逃跑出城；迦勒底人正在四圍攻城，他們就往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王就判他的罪。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女，又在利比拉殺了猶大全體的官長，並且挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。

你這褻瀆行惡的以色列王啊，你的日子，最後懲罰的時刻已來臨。

西底家王差人提他出來，在自己的宮內私下問他說：「有甚麼話從耶和華臨到沒有？」耶利米說：「有！」又說：「你必被交在巴比倫王手中。」

我要把我的網撒在他身上，他就被我的羅網纏住。我要帶他到迦勒底人之地的巴比倫；他沒有看見那地，就死在那裏。
