I am going to give the order, declares the Lord, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.”

I will call the Babylonian armies back again. They will fight against this city and will capture it and burn it down. I will see to it that all the towns of Judah are destroyed, with no one living there.”

王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。

猶大王西底家九年十月、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒帥師圍耶路撒冷、十一年四月九日取之。

見爾作惡、深堪痛疾不能復忍、故使爾土荒蕪、無人居處、為人詛咒駭異、今日之事為證。

燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、

耶和華曰、爾曹常言猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢、變為荒蕪、居民野獸、不能安處惟我耶和華曰、在斯土將復聞懽忭之聲、新娶者與新婦之音、必有人言、萬有之主耶和華當頌美之、蓋耶和華無不善、矜憫恆懷、斯民也、頌美弗輟、而獻祭品、入於我殿、蓋我必返其俘囚、使納綏祉、與昔無異。

迦勒底人環攻其城、而陷之、武士出城、由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後至耶利哥之坦途、執之、

邑中吹角、民豈得不懼、邑中有禍、豈非我耶和華使之然乎、

耶和華云、爾豈不聞自古以來、作之者我、定之者亦我、今爾變城垣為瓦礫、乃我使之然。

耶和華告受膏古列曰、我左右爾、使列國賓服、使諸王荏弱、大啟邑門、不能閉拒。我備爾道、使曲為直、毀敵銅門、斷敵鐵楗、貨財藏於密室、我以之錫爾、俾爾知命爾名者、乃我耶和華以色列族之上帝。

使迦勒底王至、在聖室中、戮諸壯士、凡丁男、處女、耆年、耄耋者、俱無所惜、見虜於敵。

君聞之怒、遣軍滅其兇、焚其邑、

聖邑荒涼、郇城蕪沒、耶路撒冷傾圮。

主有傑士、召為執事、以洩其憤、莫不踴躍、樂奏其能。

耶和華之使者曰、萬有之主耶和華與、歷七十年、爾怒耶路撒冷與猶大諸邑、毫無矜憫、伊於何底、

以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、巴比倫王、及迦勒底人、環繞爾邑、爾雖與戰、我必使爾倒戈、使迦勒底人入於斯邑。我忿怒殊烈、必以巨力大能攻爾。斯邑之民人牲畜、必降瘟疫、以擊之、俾其死亡。耶和華曰、嗣後猶大王西底家、與邑中所遺之臣民、不戮於鋒刃、斃於瘟疫、死於饑饉者、我必付之於敵人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、俾以鋒刃殺戮、不加矜恤。耶和華又告民曰、今日我以生道死道、置於爾前、凡居斯邑者、必遇鋒刃饑饉、瘟疫而亡。凡出邑外、歸誠所攻爾之迦勒底人者、則得保其生命。耶和華又曰、斯邑也、我必降以禍災、不錫以福祉、付之於巴比倫王手、使之焚燬。

維昔郇邑、居民眾多、今則不勝寂寞兮、昔為大國、今若嫠婦兮、昔也列邦為彼所制、今則為人供役、能勿悲兮。

攻陷斯邑而燬之、昔斯邑之民、曾在樓巔焚香、以奉巴力、灌奠以事他上帝、干我震怒、故火焚其樓。

迦勒底人必復至、攻陷斯邑、取而焚之。耶和華又曰、勿自欺云、迦勒底人將去、蓋彼無去志。浸假攻爾之迦勒底人、為爾所擊、其軍中惟遺被傷之卒、偃於幕下、亦能起、燬斯邑。

人將曳爾妻子、見迦勒底人、爾亦不能脫其手、必為巴比倫王所獲、斯邑必焚以火、皆爾自取。

斯土居民、所作不端、故必荒蕪、報施不爽、

我震怒斯民、使亞述人、為杖箠以擊之、亞述人亦有禍矣、我民偽善、我必震怒、使亞述人擊之、攘奪其貨、蹂躪其身、若逵衢之糞壤。亞述人之所為、非欲成我之志、其意乃為翦滅列邦。

我曰主歟、將至何時、曰、迨乎城垣傾圮、土地荒蕪、室廬寂寞、無人居之、

我散斯眾於列邦、至於素不識之地、使膏腴之壤、變為荒蕪、無人往來、遍境寂寞。

殘賊列邦者、猶獅出林而至、彼出其所、必使爾地荒蕪、城邑傾圮、無人居處。

爾先知當告之云、主耶和華曰、我指己而誓、維彼眾民、居於邱墟、必亡於刃、處於郊野、必噬於獸、藏於城垣巖穴、必斃於疫癘、以色列族恆誇其能、我必使彼、不能矜詡、令其山岡原隰、俱變荒坵、人蹤罕至、

城中荒蕪、邑門被毀、

耶和華遂使迦勒底軍、亞蘭軍、摩押軍、亞捫軍、滅猶大、應耶和華命厥僕諸先知之言、緣馬拿西犯罪、屢殺不辜、血流遍耶路撒冷、耶和華弗赦、降災於猶大族、而驅逐之。

又告亞庇篩與臣僕曰、我所生之子、尚欲害我命、況此便雅憫人乎。耶和華使詛而我容之。
