I am going to give the order, declares the Lord, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.”

I will call the Babylonian armies back again. They will fight against this city and will capture it and burn it down. I will see to it that all the towns of Judah are destroyed, with no one living there.”

猶大王西底家九年十月、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率其全軍圍耶路撒冷、西底家十一年四月九日、城破、

因爾所行之惡、所作可憎之事、耶和華不能復忍、故爾土地成為荒蕪、可駭可詛、無人居處、有如今日、

燬耶和華室與王宮、及耶路撒冷諸室、所有第宅、悉焚以火、

耶和華曰、爾言斯土荒蕪、人畜俱泯、然在猶大諸邑、暨耶路撒冷街衢、無居民、無人畜之處、

於是穴城、戰士由附近王囿、兩垣間之門出邑、夜遁、迦勒底人環城、眾向亞拉巴而走、

邑中吹角、民豈不懼乎、邑中遭禍、豈非耶和華所為乎、

耶和華曰、爾豈未聞我於元始所為、上古所定、今則成之、使爾毀堅城為瓦礫、

耶和華膏古列、執其右手、服列國於其前、去諸王之腰束、啟其邑門、俾不復閉、謂之曰、我將為爾先導、平治崎嶇、碎銅門、折鐵楗、錫爾貯於暗中之寶、藏於隱處之財、俾知以名呼爾者、乃我耶和華以色列之上帝也、

故上帝使迦勒底王來攻之、以刃戮其丁壯於其聖室、不恤幼男少女、老人白叟、俱付其手、

君怒、遣軍殲此兇、焚其邑、

爾之聖邑、盡成荒野、錫安荒蕪、耶路撒冷邱墟、

我已命我所區別者、召我驕樂之傑士、以洩我忿、

耶和華之使者曰、萬軍之耶和華歟、爾怒耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、既歷七十年、不加矜憫、將至幾時乎、

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我所降於耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑之災、爾目睹之、今為荒蕪、無人居處、乃因其人行惡、以激我怒、焚香以事他神、即彼與爾、及爾列祖所未識者、我遣我僕諸先知詣爾、夙興而遣之曰、噫、此可憎之事、我所疾者、爾勿行之、惟彼不從、不側耳以聽、不改其惡仍焚香於他神、故我傾怒洩忿於猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢、如火之焚、使之荒寂、有如今日、

以色列之上帝耶和華曰、爾所持之戰具、在於城外、以戰巴比倫王、及圍爾之迦勒底人、我必使之反退、集於邑中、我必震怒發忿、自以高舉之手、有力之臂攻爾、擊此邑之居民、或人或畜、俱遭大疫而亡、耶和華曰、厥後、我必以猶大王西底家、暨其臣僕庶民、凡在邑中、疫癘鋒刃饑饉之餘、悉付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、與其諸敵、及索其命者之手、巴比倫王必擊之以刃、不惜之、不憐之、不加矜憫、○又當告斯民曰、耶和華云、我以生道死道、陳於爾前、凡居此邑者、必亡於鋒刃饑饉疫癘、惟出而歸圍爾之迦勒底人者、必得生存、獲其生命、如獲掠物、耶和華曰、我乃注目此邑、必加以禍、不加以福、付於巴比倫王手、焚之以火、○

噫嘻是邑、昔則居民充盈、今則何其寂寞兮、昔為邦國之長、今如嫠婦兮、昔於諸州為郡主、今則供役兮、

攻斯邑之迦勒底人、必縱火焚之、爰及屋宇、民在其巔、焚香於巴力、灌奠於他神、激我震怒之所、

迦勒底人必復來攻斯邑、取而焚之、耶和華曰、毋自欺云、迦勒底人必去我、必不去也、攻爾之迦勒底人、爾縱擊其全軍、惟遺受創者於其中、彼必自幕而起、火焚斯邑、○

爾之妻孥、必被攜出、至迦勒底人、爾亦不得脫於其手、必為巴比倫王之手所擒、且使斯邑被焚、

惟斯土必因居民行為之果報、而荒蕪焉、○

亞述為我震怒之梃、其手所持、乃我忿恚之杖、我遣之攻褻慢之邦、令其擊我所恚之民、虜之掠之、且蹂躪之、若街衢之泥塗、惟其意不如是、其心不思此、乃欲肆行敗壞、翦滅多邦、

我曰、主歟、將至何時、曰、迨諸邑荒涼、無有居者、室廬闃寂、田畝荒蕪、

我將以旋風、散之於素所不識之邦、厥後其地成為荒蕪、無人來往、致可悅之地荒寂焉、

有獅出其叢林、殘賊列國者、已啟行出其所、將使爾地荒蕪、爾邑邱墟、無人居處、

當告之曰、主耶和華云、我指己生而誓、居荒蕪之處者、必仆於刃、居田野者、我必付之於獸噬之、居保障及巖穴者、必斃於疫癘、我必使斯土荒涼、令人駭異、俾其恃力之驕泰止息、以色列山岡荒涼、無人經歷、

城中荒涼、邑門破壞、

耶和華使迦勒底軍、亞蘭軍、摩押軍、及亞捫族軍攻之、侵猶大欲滅之、如耶和華藉其僕眾先知所言、此事臨及猶大、乃耶和華所命、以屏之於其前、因瑪拿西所犯諸罪也、

又謂亞比篩及諸臣僕曰、我子己身所出、尚索我命、況此便雅憫人乎、姑容之、聽其詛、蓋耶和華命之矣、
