Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them. They shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.

Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

也不要讓他靜息，直等到他建立了錫安，直等到他使耶路撒冷在地上成為可頌可讚的。

那時你看見、就有光彩，你心裏就又跳動又寬暢；因為大海豐富的貨物必轉來歸你，列國的資財必來歸你；

因為圍腰服怎樣緊貼着人的腰，永恆主發神諭說，我也怎樣使以色列全家和猶大全家緊貼着我，好叫他們屬於我為子民、使我得名聲、得頌讚、得榮美；而他們卻不聽。

他將新的歌賜與我口中，就是頌讚我們之上帝的歌；許多人看見，必起了敬畏的心，來倚靠永恆主。

我們所有的仇敵聽見了，我們四圍所有的外國人都看見了；在他們眼中看來，敵人的聲勢是極度低落了：他們曉得這工程是由我們的上帝作的。

永恆主你的上帝在你中間是行拯救的勇士；他必因你而高興歡喜，使你日新於他愛中，還要因你而踴躍歡呼，像在制定節期的日子一樣。我必撿起災禍、使它離開你；我必舉起羞辱、使它遠離你。看吧，那時我必懲辦一切苦待你的人；我必拯救那瘸着走路的，招聚那被趕散的；在羞愧中的我必使他們在全地上得稱讚、有名聲。那時我必將你們帶來，那時我必招聚你們；因為我在你們眼前恢復你們的故業時我必使你們在地上萬族之民中有名聲、得稱讚』：這是永恆主說的。

那時我們滿口喜笑，滿舌歡呼；那時列國中就有人說：『永恆主為他們行了大事了。』啊，永恆主真地為我們行了大事了：我們很歡喜。

後來以色列人必回轉過來，尋求他們的上帝永恆主、和他們的王大衛；日後他們必戰驚恐懼地傾慕永恆主和他的恩惠。

那時人必稱耶路撒冷為永恆主的寶座；列國必聚集到那裏，為了永恆主的名的緣故他們必聚集到耶路撒冷；他們必不再隨從自己頑強的壞心思而行事。

以色列子民哪，我必再建立你，你就得建立；你必再以「手鼓」為裝飾，出去加入嬉嬉笑鬧者的舞蹈。

以下是一封信的話，就是神言人耶利米從耶路撒冷寄給流亡者生存的長老，以及祭司、神言人和眾民，是尼布甲尼撒使他們從耶路撒冷流亡到巴比倫去的。

為甚麼竟用你們的手所製作的、在你們所去寄居的埃及地向別的神燻祭、來惹我發怒，使你們被剪除，在地上列國中成了令人咒詛、令人羞辱的對象呢？

『看吧，我必使耶路撒冷向四圍列族之民成為令人醉得天旋地轉的酒杯；當人圍困耶路撒冷時，猶大必被圍護。

列國看見，就必為他們的一切勢力而慚愧；他們必用手摀口，他們的耳朵必變成聾的；他們必餂塵土像蛇，像地上的腹行動物一樣；他們必戰戰兢兢出他們的要塞，必震驚恐懼而投降永恆主我們的上帝，也必因你的緣故而懼怕。

『萬軍之永恆主這麼說：將來必有萬族之民和多城的居民還要來到；這一城的居民必去見另一城的居民說：「我們總要趕快去求永恆主的情面，去尋求萬軍之永恆主哦！讓我去吧！也讓我吧！」必有許多外族之民和強盛之國要前來，在耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之永恆主，求永恆主的情面。萬軍之永恆主這麼說：當那些日子列國說各樣語言的人之中十個人必拉住一個猶大人的衣邊、說：「讓我們和你們一同去吧！因為我們聽說上帝與你們同在。」』

四圍各地的列國一聽見永恆主戰敗了以色列的仇敵，就都起了懼怕上帝的心。

萬族之民聽見就戰抖，慘痛抓住了非利士的居民。那時以東的族系長驚惶，摩押的權貴被戰兢抓住，迦南的居民都震撼搖動：恐怖震懾襲擊了他們。永恆主啊，因你膀臂之大能力，他們竟如石頭寂然不動，等你的人民過去，等你所獲得的人民過去。

凡王的諭旨勅令所到的地方、一省一省、一城一城、猶大人都歡喜快樂，宴飲度假。國中有許多族的人因為起了震懾猶大人的心，就入了猶大籍。

列國必看見你的得勝，列王必見到你的光榮；你必得新名的稱呼，是永恆主親口起的。你必做華美的冠冕在永恆主手中，做君王的華冠在你的上帝的手掌上。

那麼我就必使這殿同示羅一樣，我必使這城變為地上萬國所引為受咒詛之對象。」』

人必稱他們為聖民，為永恆主所贖回的；你也必稱為蒙找着的，不被撇棄的城。
