『它們必被擄到巴比倫，一直留在那裡，直到有一天我眷顧以色列人，把它們帶回原處。這是耶和華說的。』」

並且挖去他的雙眼，把他用銅鏈鎖著帶到巴比倫。

「你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『這樹能長得枝繁葉茂嗎？難道那鷹不把它連根拔起，摘掉它的果子，使樹和嫩葉全部枯萎嗎？不必費多大力氣，也不需要多少人就可以把它連根拔起。這樹雖然被栽種了，又豈能長得茂盛呢？東風一吹，它豈不完全枯萎在園圃中了嗎？』」

城中的人與迦勒底人爭戰只會使自己的房屋堆滿死屍，因為我要在憤怒中毀滅他們。他們作惡多端，我必掩面不理這城。

你們必灰頭土臉地離開埃及，因為耶和華棄絕了你們的靠山，你們從他們那裡必得不到幫助。」

猶大王西底迦啊！你要聽耶和華的話。論到你，耶和華說，你必不會死在刀劍之下，你必安然去世。人們必為你燒香，像為你的先王燒香一樣，他們必為你哀悼說，唉，我主啊！』這是我耶和華說的。」

上帝與我們同在，祂率領我們。祂的祭司就要吹響向你們進攻的號角。以色列人啊，不要與你們祖先的上帝耶和華作對，因為你們絕不會得勝。」

我必撒開網羅捕捉他，把他帶到迦勒底人的巴比倫。他必看不見那地方，卻要死在那裡。

即使你們能打敗迦勒底全軍，他們營中受傷的殘兵也必起來燒毀這城。』」

上帝的靈感動了耶何耶大祭司的兒子撒迦利亞，他便站在高處對民眾說：「耶和華上帝這樣說，『你們為什麼違反耶和華的誡命，以致不得亨通呢？既然你們背棄我，我也必離棄你們。』」

以色列的上帝耶和華說，『看啊，你們與圍城的巴比倫王及其率領的迦勒底人作戰，我要把你們的兵器掉轉過來，我要把它們收集在城中心。我要在烈怒中伸出大能的臂膀下手擊打你們，

任何智慧、悟性和謀略，都不能對抗耶和華。

摩西說：「你們為什麼要違背耶和華的命令？你們不會成功的。
