I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater to swear by, he swore by himself:I will indeed bless you, and I will greatly multiply you.And so, after waiting patiently, Abraham obtained the promise.For people swear by something greater than themselves, and for them a confirming oath ends every dispute.Because God wanted to show his unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, he guaranteed it with an oath,so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.

I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God because they will return to me with all their heart.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

is like the morning light when the sun rises on a cloudless morning, the glisten of rain on sprouting grass.”

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus— the great Shepherd of the sheep— through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

They will ask about Zion, turning their faces to this road. They will come and join themselves to the LORD in a permanent covenant that will never be forgotten.

But because he remains forever, he holds his priesthood permanently.

The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.Brothers and sisters, I’m using a human illustration. No one sets aside or makes additions to a validated human will.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say“ and to seeds,” as though referring to many, but referring to one, and to your seed, who is Christ.My point is this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously established by God and thus cancel the promise.

I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.And to you and your future offspring I will give the land where you are residing— all the land of Canaan— as a permanent possession, and I will be their God.”God also said to Abraham,“ As for you, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations are to keep my covenant.This is my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you, which you are to keep: Every one of your males must be circumcised.You must circumcise the flesh of your foreskin to serve as a sign of the covenant between me and you.Throughout your generations, every male among you is to be circumcised at eight days old— every male born in your household or purchased from any foreigner and not your offspring.Whether born in your household or purchased, he must be circumcised. My covenant will be marked in your flesh as a permanent covenant.

He has dealt mercifully with our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant—the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant that we,having been rescued from the hand of our enemies, would serve him without fearin holiness and righteousness in his presence all our days.

My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

Therefore, since the promise to enter his rest remains, let us beware that none of you be found to have fallen short.

For I the LORD love justice; I hate robbery and injustice; I will faithfully reward my people and make a permanent covenant with them.

The earth is polluted by its inhabitants, for they have transgressed teachings, overstepped decrees, and broken the permanent covenant.
