爾嘗言斯邑之民、戮以鋒刃、因以饉饑、重以疫癘、為巴比倫王所取、惟我以色列族之上帝、昔我忿怒震烈、散民於列邦、今我必撫集之、使歸故土、安居無虞。

今主以色列之天主論斯邑如是云、爾曹言斯邑必因鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、付於巴比倫王手、

“ You are saying about this city,‘ By the sword, famine and plague it will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon’; but this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:

Here is what you people of Judah are saying about this city.“ By war, hunger and plague it will be handed over to the king of Babylon.” But here is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says.

“ Now therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say,‘ It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by pestilence’:

“ Now I want to say something more about this city. You have been saying,‘ It will fall to the king of Babylon through war, famine, and disease.’ But this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:

“ Now therefore, this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to this city about which you said,‘ It has been handed over to Babylon’s king through sword, famine, and plague’:

“ Now therefore the Lord God of Israel says the following concerning this city of which you say,‘ It has been handed over to the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by plague’:

“ Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say,‘ It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

And now therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:

“ Now therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to this city about which you said,‘ It has been handed over to Babylon’s king through sword, famine, and plague’:

“ You and your people are right in saying,‘ War, starvation, and disease are sure to make this city fall into the hands of the king of Babylon.’ But now I, the LORD God of Israel, have something further to say about this city:

Now therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning this city, about which you say,“ It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:”

看哪，敌人已经来到，用土堆攻取这城；这城也因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫被交在攻城的迦勒底人手中。你所说的话都应验了，看哪，你也看见了。

因为犹大王西底家囚禁他，说：“你为什么预言耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我要把这城交在巴比伦王的手中，他必攻下这城。

耶和华如此说：看哪，我必将这城交给迦勒底人的手和巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手，他必攻取这城。

我们从前也都生活在他们当中，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心中的意念去做，和别人一样，生来就是该受惩罚的人。然而，神有丰富的怜悯，因着他爱我们的大爱，竟在我们因过犯而死了的时候，使我们与基督一同活过来—可见你们得救是本乎恩—

那时，你们必追念自己的恶行和不好的作为，就因你们的罪孽和可憎的事厌恶自己。你们要知道，我这样做不是为你们。以色列家啊，你们当为自己的行为抱愧蒙羞。这是主耶和华说的。

因此，看哪，我要诱导她，领她到旷野，我要说动她的心。

你们行恶比你们祖先更甚，看哪，各人随从自己顽梗的恶心行事，不听从我。所以我必将你们从这地赶出，直赶到你们和你们祖先素不认识之地。你们在那里昼夜必事奉别神，因为我必不再向你们施恩。’”“看哪，日子将到，人必不再指着那领以色列人从埃及地上来的永生耶和华起誓。这是耶和华说的。人却要指着那领以色列人离开北方之地，离开他们被赶到的各国之永生的耶和华起誓；并且我要领他们归回我从前赐给他们祖先之地。”

而且加添了律法，使得过犯增加，只是罪在哪里增加，恩典就在哪里越发丰盛了。

你没有用银子为我买香菖蒲，也没有用祭物的油脂使我饱足；倒使我因你的罪恶操劳，使我因你的罪孽厌烦。我，惟有我为自己的缘故涂去你的过犯，我也不再记得你的罪恶。

我因人贪婪的罪孽，发怒击打他；我转脸向他发怒，他却仍随意背道而行。我看见他的行为，要医治他，引导他，使他和与他一同哀伤的人都得安慰。
