They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded— nor did it enter my mind— that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

The people built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. That is where they sacrifice their children to Molek in the fire. That is something I did not command. It did not even enter my mind. They did something I hate. They made Judah sin.”

卻行以色列諸王的道，又鑄造巴力的像，並且在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，行耶和華在以色列人面前所驅逐的外邦人那可憎的事；

又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛；

這是因他犯罪，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，行耶羅波安所行的，犯他使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪。

又建築巴力的邱壇，好在火中焚燒自己的兒子，作為燔祭獻給巴力。這不是我所吩咐的，不是我所提說的，也不是我心所起的意。耶和華說：因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。

「你還要曉諭以色列人說：凡以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒女獻給摩洛的，總要治死他；本地人要用石頭把他打死。我也要向那人變臉，把他從民中剪除；因為他把兒女獻給摩洛，玷污我的聖所，褻瀆我的聖名。那人把兒女獻給摩洛，本地人若佯為不見，不把他治死，我就要向這人和他的家變臉，把他和一切隨他與摩洛行邪淫的人都從民中剪除。

你們在橡樹中間，在各青翠樹下慾火攻心；在山谷間，在石穴下殺了兒女；

瑪拿西引誘猶大和耶路撒冷的居民，以致他們行惡比耶和華在以色列人面前所滅的列國更甚。

「因猶大王瑪拿西行這些可憎的惡事比先前亞摩利人所行的更甚，使猶大人拜他的偶像，陷在罪裏；

並且你將給我所生的兒女焚獻給他。你行淫亂豈是小事，竟將我的兒女殺了，使他們經火歸與他嗎？

因耶羅波安所犯的罪，又使以色列人陷在罪裏，耶和華必將以色列人交給仇敵。」

把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血污穢了。

這是因為耶羅波安所犯的罪使以色列人陷在罪裏，惹動耶和華－以色列神的怒氣。

她們行淫，手中有殺人的血，又與偶像行淫，並使她們為我所生的兒女經火燒給偶像。

拿答行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，行他父親所行的，犯他父親使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪。

打發她去的前夫不可在婦人玷污之後再娶她為妻，因為這是耶和華所憎惡的；不可使耶和華－你神所賜為業之地被玷污了。」

他將伯特利的壇，就是叫以色列人陷在罪裏、尼八的兒子耶羅波安所築的那壇，都拆毀焚燒，打碎成灰，並焚燒了亞舍拉。

摩西對亞倫說：「這百姓向你做了甚麼？你竟使他們陷在大罪裏！」

然而，他貼近尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪，總不離開。

你們中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀兆的、用法術的、行邪術的、

因為他離棄我，敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神基抹，和亞捫人的神米勒公，沒有遵從我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，守我的律例典章，像他父親大衛一樣。

我必使你的家像尼八的兒子耶羅波安的家，又像亞希雅的兒子巴沙的家；因為你惹我發怒，又使以色列人陷在罪裏。』
