They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded— nor did it enter my mind— that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

The people built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. That is where they sacrifice their children to Molek in the fire. That is something I did not command. It did not even enter my mind. They did something I hate. They made Judah sin.”

他却随从以色列诸王的道路，又为巴力铸造偶像；并且在欣嫩子谷烧香，用火焚烧自己的儿女，像耶和华在以色列人面前驱走的外族人所行可厌恶的事一样；

他又污秽在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不许人在那里将儿女焚烧献给摩洛（“将儿女焚烧献给摩洛”直译是“使儿女经过进入火中给摩洛”）。

这是因为他所犯的罪，行耶和华看为恶的事，走耶罗波安的路，犯了他使以色列人陷在罪中的那罪。

他们筑了巴力的邱坛，好用火焚烧自己的儿女，作燔祭献给巴力。这不是我吩咐的，我没有提说过，也没有在我心里想过。因此，看哪！日子快到，这地方必不再称为陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，而要称为杀戮谷。’这是耶和华的宣告。

“你要对以色列人说：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的儿子献给摩洛，必要把他处死；本地的人要用石头把他打死。我也要向那人变脸，把他从他的族人中剪除，因为他把自己的儿子献给摩洛，玷污了我的圣所，亵渎了我的圣名。如果有人把他的儿子献给摩洛，而本地的人掩目不看，不把他处死，我就要向那人和他的家族变脸，把他和所有跟随他与摩洛行邪淫的人，都从他们的族人中剪除。

你们在橡树林中，在青翠树下欲火焚心；在山谷间，在岩穴里，宰杀自己的孩子作祭牲。

可是玛拿西却引诱犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民行恶，比耶和华在以色列人面前除灭的列国更厉害。

“因为犹大王玛拿西所作这些可憎恶的事，比在他以前的亚摩利人所行的恶更坏，并且以他的偶像使犹大人犯罪。

你更把你的儿女，就是你给我所生的儿女，献给它们作食物；你所行的淫乱还算是小事吗？你竟宰杀了我的儿女，使他们经火，献给它们。

为了耶罗波安所犯的罪，又为了他使以色列人所犯的罪，耶和华必丢弃以色列人。”

他们把自己的儿女祭祀鬼魔。他们流了无辜人的血，就是他们自己儿女的血，把他们祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污秽了。

这是因为耶罗波安所犯的罪，和他使以色列人陷在罪中的那罪，又因为他惹动耶和华以色列的神的怒气。

因为她们行了奸淫，手中染血，与自己的偶像行奸淫，他们甚至使自己给我所生的儿女经火，献给偶像作食物。

拿答行耶和华看为恶的事，跟随他父亲的路，犯他父亲使以色列人陷在罪中的那罪。

那么，叫她离开的前夫，不可在她受了污辱以后，再娶她为妻，因为这在耶和华面前是可厌可恶的事；你不可使耶和华你的神赐给你作产业的土地蒙受罪污。

此外，甚至在伯特利的祭坛和那使以色列人陷于罪中的尼八的儿子耶罗波安所做的邱坛，他都拆毁焚烧，压碎成灰，又把亚舍拉烧了。

摩西对亚伦说：“这人民向你作了什么，你竟使他们陷在大罪里呢？”

只是尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪中的那些罪，他却坚持不舍，不肯脱离。

在你中间不可有人把自己的儿女献作火祭（“把自己的儿女献作火祭”直译是“使自己的儿女经过进入火中”），也不可有占卜的、算命的、用法术的、行邪术的、

因为他们离弃了我，去敬拜西顿人的女神亚斯他录、摩押人的神基抹和亚扪人的神米勒公，没有遵行我的道，行我眼中看为正的事，谨守我的律例典章，像他的父亲大卫一样。

我要使你的家像尼八的儿子耶罗波安的家，又像亚希雅的儿子巴沙的家，因为你惹我发怒，又因为你使以色列人陷在罪中。’
